Thank you, Pete!! I always enjoy the wisdom and knowledge Dr. Campbell and Ian put out. It reminds me of the apple growers in Aomori, Japan that I used to visit and watch them as they tended the groves. Most of the trees were just at my head level (5-6 feet) and packed close together. They tipped and removed the limbs, also. Some of the groves would go for volume, and others would thin the blossoms to produce the Gem Quality fruit. I am using Dr. Campbell's techniques on my mango trees. Production was so much last season, I had to make a structure to support the limbs so the fruit wouldn't touch the ground. Thank you again!

My father also wore a dashiki, my friend. The pictures are quite famous. The cap, the cigar. Thank you! May the blessings of God be upon the fruits of thy garden! A happy dog, well tended in the beautiful sun will bark! That is in the nature of a dog! It needs no excusing. My appreciation is for everything that you carefully tend. I am in Southern California and I have two mango trees ...I used to have three of them but I made the mistake of giving one to somebody who really didn’t care for it ...so it died...as far as my trees I started them from seed and to my surprise they started producing fruit after about 6 years not only that but the mangoes that I got from my trees are almost as good if not identical as the ones that I used as seed...they weigh 32 oz. and they are sweet...they came from Mexico and I don’t know the variety....

Great quality video Pete, good to see another video with Dr Campbell along with Ian Cambell this time, thanking them both for giving up their time to educate us all on youtube. Explaining how and where to make incisions for your budwood is key for many people learning or wanting to turn an unproductive Mango tree into a tree that will at some stage be producing. Good to see that there are people in the world like Pete Kanaris and the Campbell family that are trying to educate and also save some of the lesser known varieties of Mango from extinction.

Is there any technique I should follow to get the growth to the grafted branch. Since I am keeping the other branch will the whole growth go that way and keep the graft inactive. Awesome informative video, really appreciated. Thank you! Because of my inexperience, I overwatered my avocado tree and it died ( or so I thought) from root rot. Months after I stopped watering it I realized that it was actually alive and had started growing up from the very bottom, since the rest of the tree (graft included) is dried. The new branch is about a foot below the grafting. Do I need to graft it again? Thank you!

How are your seedling trees performing in terms of fruit production, fruit quality, and disease resistance? For example, Florigon (apparently) seedlings do great for me in San Diego, excellent fruit and very consistent high quality all around performance from seed,…. from two different seeds of Florigon,…. so, I'm making hopeful inference. The most common mangos grown in California are Manila seedlings. I prefer Florigon seedlings over what I've come to know of Manila seedlings, at least with fruit quality,… overall other performance factors seem good with Manila.
