Great list. Important to know that these keys exist when many would simply pick the single digit X-Men or other issues like 101. One book that may belong on a list like this, and I know you have presented it before, is 129. I’m thrilled to have a Chris Claremont signed 9.6 edition. You know the importance of this book. Problem With putting together a list like this is the multitude of riches from the X-Men run. Great job. Thanks, Jerry
I wasn't looking at 9.8s for the 107. It was 9.2s. When I get into more higher valued books, I like to look at more affordable grades, and I also take the grade that moves more units, because it gives a better understanding of FMV.
In the x-men cartoon 90s... the intro for jubilee sort of mimicks first appearance cover with the shadows. Just noticed this the other day. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for putting up these videos.. I was inspired to go to A-1 comics and pick up a few things, but I’m looking for a couple of these keys on eBay now!
I have 221 and 244 coming back from CGC tomorrow. It will probably be more of a slow burn, but I think a prime target is X-Factor 6 first appearance of apocalypse. Maybe because of the fox movie but imo it's undervalued. I got a high grade copy a month ago for $70. I got another one before that for $50 and a newsstand for around $60. I try to pick it up whenever I see a decent copy.
That is a good list of keys to get. I just been buying every first appearance of any char I can get and multiple copies if I can get them cause first apps are really the only books that will hold there value.
Good luck finding that Mr. sinister book that cheap. Anytime I see it at an LCS it’s much more. Unfortunately his next appearance he’s on the cover what does it be great if it was on this one too
These numbers are from real time sales, most of the raw sales are from the last couple of weeks. So they are out there for these prices, though we know how quick the market can change.
@@bandoogiemanz Totally. Remember, that $73 is an "average" raw value, and doesn't account for condition/grade of the book. That average suggest that higher grades are selling for much more.
With the mcu not able to to start production on any x men characters from the fox movies untill 2025(sooner if they use the same actor) I would think it would be better to look at character that have not been used yet. Sunfire, and forge are good bets. But would be nice to see the imperial guard on screen. 10/10 on the books for me.
Depends on your price range but honestly I think where the big guns are concerned(gambit, wolvie, rogue, etc.) The sooner you get them the better. They're likely not going to go down in price.
Raw X-Force books i have in my personal collection i'm speculating on in Deadpool 3/ X-Force in the MCU: 1. X-Force #5 (First appearance of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants) 2. X-Force #6 (First appearance of Thornn, a were-cat Morlock and first appearance of Phantazia) 3. X-Force #26 (First appearance of Reignfire)
@@bandoogiemanz Yeah but if copy cat cloned herself to look like Domino then what's the point of the original Domino to look the same as the copy cat when there's no difference in the character? Never read that issue but to me just doesn't make any sense in the storyline to re-introduce of the same character twice.
@@JernosComicsPopCulture what I mean is that the age of the book, thirty, fifty, three years, etc., and the estimated number of copies available today vs the number in the release month&year, should be considered when grading a book. Some popular keys were also big sellers, and are often overvalued given the available number of raw copies. Other keys with lower interest, but also fewer high grade copies available, seem to stall at permanently high prices.
@@seanwelch71 So you think if a book has potentially less copies out in the wild, that CGC should assign the grades differently? I'm still not sure I'm understanding that part. If I'm understanding you correctly, I disagree 100%, because the assigned grade has nothing to do with scarcity or rarity. A book is a book, and grading the book is based on the same criteria across the board. As for popular keys being overvalued simply because they may have had large print runs: I take this back to simple supply and demand, and also understand that supply doesn't equate simply to print run. Supply is really the number of books available at any given point of time on the market. For example, if there is a book that had a 200k print run, and 150k of them are sitting in personal collections collecting dust, then there isn't a 200k supply available on the market. I do see what you're saying about interest in higher grades on maybe not so popular books can still balloon the price of those higher grade issues, but again, it's supply and demand. There is a large market out there that simply desires 9.8 books and nothing else.
Personal opinion, I think it's a possibility as Hugh Jackman gets older we could see him return for an Old Man Logan movie. I think that book, Wolverine vol. 3 issue 66 is a super sleeper.
@@JernosComicsPopCulture in a bonus feature for "the Wolverine" or "Logan" he said he loves being Logan and will come back as long as the fans will have him. 🤞🤞🤞🤞
I wanted to ask for your opinion/ help I wanted to invest in a big book, well for me it’s huge 1975 x-men giant size 9.4 off white to white cgc# 1055555013 the guy is asking 8500$ US. Is this a good investment for me or do you think it’s about market price ? Also I notice this book was grade back 2011 which from watching your videos it’s seems they grade tougher now a days. Please brother any help or suggestions would be most appreciated I know your probably get a 1000 ask per day but I really do trust your advice. Thank you in advance your Fan and supporter peter!
