Honestly, having three different programs - gigapixel, sharpen and denoise is some crazy decision making. It should all be in the same package. Obviously if you are serious about this stuff, you'd need at least both denoise and sharpen. Plus they all have options in the software for denoise and sharpen. Put it ALL in one. Charge a bit more if you have to, but swapping between three programmes? Come on.

Wow, Sharpen AI has improved. Thanks for demonstrating a great workflow. Thankfully I have both Sharpen AI and deNoise AI. Both great products. And thanks to your tutorials I understand how to use them.

Its obvious that sharpen ai is much better for sharpening images. Denoise ai is for denoising while retaining detail in the image. Denoise ai cant fix focus issues. Sharpen ai can.

I use denoise ai, sharpen ai and gigapixel all in my workflow. All are awsome.

Yesterday, I processed a photo of an Elk with a 3200 ISO. I first did NoNoise and parts of the Elk were plastic looking; I then did DeNoise AI and the fur was visible (Noticeable difference). Just viewed your tutorial and will try your technique. Thanks again for all of your efforts.

wow greta stuff. Looks amazing. Topaz rocks. Need to save up my $$ to get it one day..... most of my shots are 6400 and under so.... that should work.

nice presentation. It has nonsense to have two softs. At the beginning, goal was to migrate separate legacy plugins in a single studio environment like ON1 and then they split again the plugins. I asked several times to Topaz team to group sharpen and denoise in a same application for customers having both licenses but also havingsome basic raw develop features because, compared to DXO, when photo is dull we can't use topaz standalone but use lightroom frontend to recover tones and exposure first.

I have used DeNoise and then Sharpen on many images with success. Does not have to be one or the other.

Great demo, thanks. I was wondering what you have for computer specs to get that kind of processing speed.

I shoot micro 4/3 and I will commonly have to shoot at 12,800. and use both products. I have gone back in my catalog and recovered many images I thought we’re not salvageable

Thanks for this video! Can you tell me if this Topaz Sharpen AI will work with Lightroom (not LR Classic)?

The image turned horribly though! At 12:20 look at the branch right above the bird’s head. It’s very blurred and a little higher sharp again.

Interesting conclusion since you didn't show how Denoise would handle the same photo. I've had zero success with Sharpen AI on my bird photos. It makes feather detail look very blocky and digitized. I think it did in this example as well. So for me, that is the point of the comparison, I think Denoise AI is less aggressive when it sharpens while doing an amazing job with the noise. I've process 10 or more photos through both programs and Sharpen AI has lost out on every occasion. Still, I appreciate your videos and have learned a great a lot from them.

Thanks Dave. The main point of Sharpen Ai is for repairing Focus Issues. DeNoise does basic sharpening and does it very well. Sharpen Ai does basic sharpening, but it's strong point is Focus problems, such as Camera Shake or Missed Focus at the time of the shot. I can't tell you how many images Sharpen Ai has saved for me, images no other software would even come close at repairing. I appreciate your comment and the feedback.

@@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly I think I miss focus or get sligjtly blurry shots more often than high noise. camera shake, low ISO, low light are much more common issues for intermediates and beginners than is high ISO noise . so i agree

Hi Dave. I should have read the title; thought you were comparing Topaz NoDeNoise and On1s NoNoise. Obviously you weren’t, which is a shame as I am swinging in favour of NoNoise and was hoping for other inputs as to the pros and cons of the two and from a different perspective. I have tried Topaz DeNoise in the past and wasn’t enamoured by it. Most likely my workflow at fault but I felt I could get as good results with just PS, so I have waited patiently for the ON1 release of NoNoise. So far I am liking it and almost ready to commit. Is ON1 NoNoise on your radar for a review any time soon? Thanks. Hugh

I have always used Topaz DeNoise Ai and have always loved my results. I am not planning on changing because I am more than happy with the results I get from Topaz DeNoise Ai . I don't have a NoNoise video planned at this time.

the next version of On1 RAW Editor will incorporate the Denoise AI into the software so you wont have to pay for a separate utility. If you are on1 Plus subscriber then you will get it for free in the next version which should come out near the end of the year so might want to hold off to compare? maybe better bang for your buck and close enough if you dont want to spend more $$ if you already use On1

Sharpen ai is 10x better than denoise ai for sharpening images.

Well - NO. You never showed us what would happen when you used Topaz Denoise. Job not done! Having said that, I appreciate what you did show! Thank you, but MORE.

Honestly DeNoise Ai would give the same noise reduction without the Sharpening correction. I will be doing more videos on DeNoise, which is also an amazing piece of software. I highly recommend both. But quite honestly Sharpen Ai works for Noise Removal on the same par as DeNoise Ai up to ISO 6400. Above ISO 6400 you need DeNoise Ai. I appreciate your comment.
