Gimblet beach is a cracking Mark for shore tope. I've seen them caught near the rock, but not as far up as you were, I normally target the bream where you were, I won't be in the future lol. Well done..
Nice one Mate, me and my lad fished there Saturday after our First Tope (had pups from the Mersey before but nothing decent), ended up moving on though as too much weed to fish 👎🏻
Just came across your channel.. brilliant video pal 😁 had one on the same mark but closer to the big rock on the left.. don't want to give the mark away 😉mine weighed 36lb and took a fresh bream fillet 😁 all the best Lincoln 👍🤙
I really enjoyed the video format, you are very comfortable on camera and the fish is an absolute belter. You are very very lucky to still have an intact rod tip though looking at the landing. Look forward to the next one.
It was a good month that month Tucker 👌👌 I had the first off that beach that year there was some good ones pulled out aswell me, you, godders and Jimmy price.. Just shows Pwllheli will chuck em out
@@StarfishSeaFishing definitely pal.. We'll you know I only lived 30 yrds from the beach so I was walking it daily and the amount of tope I seen in April around Gimblet was ridiculous... Scrapping males on the surface over a ripped in half garfish at 6am sunrise... Cracking sight pal...
the gemini splash down is much better as it locks the hook in i found the imps would not work well with a whole mackerel and would unclip before the cast
@@StarfishSeaFishing they're on the list of this year's species but next sessions target I'm after hounds, one I've caught them. It's then huss. Then I'll go for my tope. Cheers mate appreciate it👍
Hi Paul just wondering what would b the strongest shock leader knott you would recommend Thanks Jimmy ps first session this weekend coming for over 15 years 🤦♂️
I really enjoyed your video's Paul, im not very skilled at casting far at all, how far do you need to cast? You mentioned that you were not casting far ..
Really enjoyed this and great for someone like me to learn. Really good. Can I ask where the mark is ? Or what coast line. I'd like to try it one day. Thanks again. Have subscribed to the channel
Had a 41 up from Pwllheli 5 years ago not had a good crack to be honest last 5 years but I will give it a go more next year too much on got married. Got divorced and a hell lot more
Well I love the century rods the tip tornado sports have been faultless I would most likely upgrade to the newer version or the compressor super sport 👍
Starfish Sea Fishing cheers for the prompt reply Paul I quite fancy a pair of eliminator 1200s but at£625 each. They are a bit prices got the tip tornado sport and super match they are mark1s had them from new and are still in great Nick 👍👍👍

Clearly a very experienced and skilled angler but I can’t get my head round holding the rod in your right hand to cast, presumably your strongest arm, but then holding the rod in the weaker arm with a bloody great fish on the end. Wouldn’t a lh multiplier be more comfortable? 🤷🏻♂️ Did your spinning rod have a lh wind fixed spool? I guess it’s what most rh sea anglers do but I don’t understand why. Help!
