The Topoint Unison recurve riser is a new CNC machined recurve riser. We look at all the colours and compare the riser to other risers on the market. archeryshop.com.au/p/9323383/t...
I need to get off my ass and review the Unison sitting in my room. Pretty impressed with Topoint's efforts to manufacture a decent target riser. Never seen the Ghost design either. Thanks for the preview.
I bought mine after watching both you NUSensei and Archery Supply reviewing it. I really love it, thanks you guys! I'll make a video with it once it starts warming up.
SF premium+ risers are forged too. But It is a bit chunkier, heavier and are painted. The forged+ are lighter and anodized. The axiom+ and below are die-casted.
great preview and info. i really appreciate your showing each of the available colors. i realize that video is still not as accurate as real life, but video is also a whole lot more accurate than looking at jpeg pictures, so thanks for taking the time to show off all of them. i have a question on these risers. the palm of my hand measures 9cm (from between my thumb/index finger across to the outer edge of my palm). will this grip work for me? i ask because recently i stopped at a local archery shop and held a few compound bows and the grips on them felt a little small. i realize that compound bows are different from recurves, but i'm thinking that maybe the grips are similar. i have no way of actually seeing/holding a topoint as no one seems to sell them here in the usa.
Steven, good to hear from you. Nice looking risers can't wait o see you shoot it. I like all the colors but the Ghost caught my eye. Will the finish hold up, is it as good as the other types. Thank you. Alan
I think it looks amazing. I plan on setting one up in the next few days and trying it. I will do a shooting review on it. But at $250 it is just crazy affordable. I could have a recurve for outdoors and one for indoors..
Hi Steve. I got one of these in February, so probably one of the first produced... What's the machining like now? On mine, the lattice work has sharp jagged corners which affect the finish and looked cheap. I suggested they rounded off the edges, to make it look more "professional." Have they done that?
One of the wrapped ones has a slight sharp edge, but the anodized ones were perfect. I suggest Anodized is more popular so probably slightly newer. But I love the look can't wait to try it out.
I love the colors and the riser design. The only thing that is bothering me is the limb pockets being open like that. But overall I am impressed by the riser.
Personally, I like that open limb pocket "feature" as it makes for a lighter riser (2.54lbs/1150gms) that I can add appropriately distributed weight for a good Barebow setup. Ordered one!
I'm not upset at all but then I'm just a lowly consumer. I like it a lot. What poundage limbs will this riser handle. Why don't manufacturers supply this information. I called a large retailer here in the US about my riser and talked to two different employes and got two very different answers. Thanks for this video.
I find the colors very attractive Steven ..... almost makes me and my wife try them out ..... very good for Topoint to make other companies cringe .....
The Ghost pattern/color looks exactly like the Kinetic version. The grip does as well. Though the kinetic bows have got some problems with CNC Milling finish. Do you see any sharp edges or wavy looking lines? Greetings from the Netherlands
Daan, can you direct me to more info on these problems with CNC-ed Kinetic risers? I am about to shop for such a riser (Arios, Novius) and want to know what to look out for.
Look at the milled parts between the limb pockets and the handle. And check for sharp edges all around. As far as I know its just some aesthetic damage.
Just looked at 2 Stylized and 2 Arios risers. Three are perfect, one has a tiny area where cutter may have hit a "hard" spot and juddered. No sharp corners or wavy lines. Finish is excellent.
Hi for unison there 3 types of blue? What is the one that first shown? That seems like a medium blue but does not seem to be available on your shop. I only see lake blue and dark blue
Yep that sells in Australia for $600 as a baseline recurve handle. I think it is important for companies to have stuff for all archers. But I'm not the CEO.
Hi why do you say ILF if you ask Hoyt which made the Hoyt TD 4 with the so called ILF ( they never called it that) Which they now call it HDS ( Hoyt dowel system ) G Tekmitchov said there is no standard for the so called ILF
I'm beginning to wonder about the archery business as a whole. Of the American made stuff about 25% of the stuff I buy is complete rubbish or missing pieces, frustrating to say the least. The Chinese made, american packaged items are all spot on. The Chinese from China is a crap shoot. Sometimes I wonder how they make something and can turn a profit. Sometimes I wonder why they even bother making a product. These look like a nicely made product. Impressed with the anodizing, which is usually the Chinese's downfall. 1 micron of anodizing doesn't look good.
