I remember seeing Torey's Check Out in TWS back in the early 2000's... just a tiny, lanky kid with a mushroom cut and glasses destroying a huge rail. Who knew he would grow up to be the world's trillest. Much love and respect to Torey Pudwill

I wrote a little essay. The curved rail clip was a very artfully composed scene. Filmed at the 'golden hour' we are brought 'along for the grind' at what can be assumed Venice Beach.A tracking shot initiates the 'clip', as Pudwill approaching frontside performs a 50-50 grind along the curved rail. His style and the movement of his arms are reminiscent of the style seen in surfers whom would often use this beach.The artfully designed 'clip'.is contrasted with the proceeding 'ender' clip which is a static wide open shot which gives emphasis to the size of the ramp which lies below the rail he backside feeble grinds to kickflips off.

The banging of this guy is unforgettable, the best I've ever seen, no doubt. He is an incredible skateboarder.

I was so stoked to hear a new part by Pudwill was released and even more stoked to watch it amazing. I"ve got one comment and i saved this for last after the compliments not to discredit him what so ever by putting it in the same sentence, but I would have named this edit "Flatbar Frenzy". Although there were flatbars, 90% of the rails were round. I'm probably just splitting hairs here and speaking semantics but I would have given it the name "Rail Rampage" or "Far and Wide, There's Rails to Ride". Something along those lines, still just as catchy but more pertinent to the content. I apologize for being nit-picky it's not something i always enjoy haha but this is my only outlet. I wouldn't mind naming any other edits, word-play kinda does come a bit natural to me i guess, and i feel like my talent is wasted otherwise.

Sooooooo good! I've always loved the hippy high pop'n-grind kid, but It wasn't until now/recently that he started to creep into the legend status of skaters in my mind. More and more he becomes a solidified "skate-god" in my opinion. Takes a lot for a skater to be considered a skate-god in my head, but he's definitely on his way there.
