Think there are a lot of shy reform voters - Labour will win big, but would not be surprised to see 20-30 Reform seats and Lib Dems as second party. Glad to see the Tory party about to be voted out!

The best news in recent days has been Farage letting slip his sympathy for Putin. I always thought this of him, but most Reform voters didn't know it. But now maybe, just maybe, Reform supporters who also support Ukraine will begin to realise that Farage is not the man they thought he was. Could this mean he loses Clacton? I don't know. But hopefully it reduces the risk of Farage populism taking over the Tory party after the election.

Watching Sunak in studio the other day, talking about his plan of compulsory national service for - I think - 18-24 year olds, and blithely threatening to confiscate their driving licences and - unbelievably - prohibit them from holding bank accounts if they refused, and this in the run-up to the general election, was absolutely surreal. It reminded me of something Lewis Carroll might've written. I mean; the one time of all when you need to make yourself as popular as you can and appeal to the widest possible demography, and yet here he is - alienating every young voter and every potential young voter to come, not to mention creating a profound hiccup in the economy because many of those young people will have financial commitments which could not be serviced if their accounts were indefinitely suspended. And such meddling in people's - and the banks' - economic freedom is unprecedented in peacetime. How could he not grasp that even as he spoke, he was writing himself off with young voters. How is it possible to be that dumb...?!

So like 1997, where the national swing was 10.5% to Labour but in Tory held seats in the south especially swings of 15-18% were widespread, Portillo a good example where the swing in Enfield Southgate was 17%.

How accurate is the polling? Are the people questioned by internet or phone? There'll be lots of a demographic who haven't heard of Reform and the values it represents.

The Tories are polling at between 10-12% in Scotland. They are projected to lose all 6 currently held seats to the SNP. Labour and Libdems are miles behind the 2 horse races.

Starmer’s stated support for First Past the Post,yet another thing he’s pivoted on, is incredibly depressing. The wild variations in predictions are a product of the semi-random results produced by our completely ludicrous, irrational and disgracefully undemocratic electoral system. This should be a major electoral issue. I abhor Reform but would gladly join their supporters on the barricades if their likely election results produce the outrage that they should.

Besides the issues around any of the parties. Elections and democracy are a thing to celebrate.
