@0:12 "What are you doing on my lawn?!" "Practicing tornado kicks, sir. Wonderboy said I could do it in who's ever yard. "All right, but only because it's technique Tuesday. Carry on."
@@unitedstatesofthekingdom6825 masvidal isn't a clout chaser. That's an exaggeration from Kamaru to get people to hate Jorge just because he does. Jorge and Usman dislike each other, and Jorge isn't ready to take the fight on short notice. He let's us know he really wants it though, trying to get in Usman's head. That doesn't make Jorge a faker or clout chaser.
@@tash5540 Who cares what Kamaru sais. Kamarus opinions does not even come from him, he seems to be as boring of a stock wrestler as they come. I'd bet a lot that everything Kamaru has said about other fighters in front of the cameras was fed to him by other people. That is why he is so inconsistant. Jorge is a clout chaser, not because Kamaru sais so but because he tries to get a championship fight, or a fight with Mcgregor (which is telling) by talking shit instead of beating the best people in the ufc. He is on 3 fight win streak against 3 fighters with almost as bad a record against top competition as he has, why do you think he is in talks for a titleshot if not for his clout chasing?
Masvidal is legit. Wonderboy was a nightmare matchup for him. Thompson deff best striker in division. I’d like to see a 3rd fight with Woodley, get that W
needs at least 1 more W , vs either Leon Edwards, Santiago P. , Lawler, Cowboy, or maybe a trilogy fight with Woodley, Thompson vs Covington would also be interesting but most likely it'll be Woodley vs Covington next
I wish I had friends like Wonderboy growing up. Feel like i would be a completely different person. Thank you for the awesome tutorial!! This is one of my favorite kicks since not many people think a 240+ lb guy would ever pull it off!
I can relate to that. Right now at 36 yrs old I'm about 275 lbs and most ppl wouldn't expect I could do this kick either but I've been practicing it since I was about 12 yrs old and have done it well ever since. Obviously, I'm not thin/skinny/average/athletic or muscular in body size but as a large man, I'm extremely athletic. I'm also a sprinter and I run unusually fast. Most ppl assume that I'm in the 235-255 bracket because I'm bigger than I look. I just happen to hide it well but I'm chubby & overweight and have been ever since I was 19 but that never stopped me from doing backflips, tornado kicks & kip-up/back springs from a laying position. From age 15-32 I've been able to execute a complete back-spring and land on my feet without a problem up until I injured my back AND sprained my ankle just a couple years ago. I was never really all that smart & successful academically in school but I was athletic as hell in gym class/P.E. & sports because I could run super fast, jump high (good vertical leap) and I knew some awesome martial arts kicks. All of this still being chubby & overweight 215 lbs+ as far back as I can remember. I later found out my skinny better looking & smarter older brother was jealous of my athletic ability, LOL. Go figure.
@@KillerDoh As much as I would LOVE to use this opportunity to be defensive, offended & argumentative?? I'm gonna choose to swallow my pride & actually AGREE with you. You're absolutely right. I truly should have used it to my advantage but I wasted it, unfortunately.
Wonderboy would be a good actor for a Martial arts movie, kickboxer style! a conversation between Jean Claude van Damme and Wonderboy talking about kicks would be epic 🌟
Thank you for this video, Mr. Thompson. Because of this tutorial, this kick not only has become one of my favorites to practice, but I was able to successfully (and safely/carefully) pull this off in sparring the other week. Keep up the awesome work!
I love this kick. That's why I did a tutorial on it about a year ago. Taekwondo usually sets it up with a round kick instead of taking a step. And if you open your hips up it allows the kick to land with the instep of your foot and it makes it more consistent.
Cover, in-depth, the spinning hook kick. How to learn, practice, improve it and differentiate between wheel and hook kick. Also, setup of course. I’m thoroughly enjoying your techniques! Keep it up brother! I’m a big fan, much love homie.
I love you wonderboy, I literally watch your highlights when I’m working out I only do boxing but I gotta tell that you motivate me champ, WOONNNDERRBOOYYYY !!!! 💯💪🏽 i hope one day I get to meet you, the one and only WONDERBOY!!
this brings back memories of my childhood. The last exam month of high school .I tore my knee ligament doing this in my Dominant leg..despite doing this move hundreds of times was off my feet for 6weeks
We all have our unfortunate moments, some have less than others. But you Mr.Thompson are Champion Caliber 🤟🦵💪 thanks for all the RU-vid videos they are helping me teach myself
Bro, its impressive how much knowledge he has. He doens't have many muscles compare to the others of the same category, but his fighting IQ is just from another planet
Hey Stephen Big Fan, Im a 4th dan black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Just wanted to give you a tip to land the tornado kick faster, when lifting up your back leg out in front of you lower your knee so that it is straight and you'll find that your kick is a lot faster than normal. If you find that your technique works better for you then do that. :)
Imagine not knowing who wonderboy is and your walking through the woods and you come across some dude with no shoes or shirt talking to himself throwing kicks Edit " thanks for the 4 new subscribers guys !! Edit 2 wow 3 more subscribers, thanks everyone!!
My favorite martial artist by far, in MMA or any arena. You are divinely blessed! I pray you get another title shot.......at least I can call you B.I.C.

Thank you Wonderboy. Finally someone is explaining this move, in a nice calm friendly way. I was wondering how to do the move, and you showed it perfectly. Thank you very much.

Keep up the great work however keep safe during this deadly pademic please. God bless you & the family.
WONDER BOY I just wanna send love and greetings from London, England. Thank you for your videos, I wanna say youre a really cool, nice bloke - and we appreciate your content. I wish more people had the upbeat enthusiasm and good nature you have! Best regards, Chris
I love the quick set ups. When I first learned this I would do left foot forward in orthodox, cross my right foot over like if i was gonna throw a hammer first and then twist my body counter clockwise almost spinning on my left heel with the right foot following it. Not sure if i was doing it wrong but it still feels good and lands in sparring lol
Give us a technique Tuesday with some of your set-ups for your kicks! Particularly low and high kick setups. The content is great keep it coming W.B. and Sweet T!
Wonder boy went to the Virgin Islands an when he left they werent Virgin anymore lol big fan of yours brother hope I get to meet you some day I watch alot of your videos think your a good dude an hall of fame fighter I would love to train with you an learn from you I believe you'll hold UFC title in the future
Great info. I do a tornado kick with a Chinese broadsword tucked behind my right arm in one of my seven star praying mantis forms. It really makes you focus on using your legs for spin momentum
Get back to it! It's such a fun kick to learn. This is me figuring it out after watching this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3ggVASCP36U.html&feature=em-comments
Thanks Wonderboy! Ur awesome man one of my favorite fighters today. I've always loved this kick Israel Adesanya landed it in the kickboxing ring a couple times it was beautiful
Man can’t wait to be done with my contract in the Army and go back home. Your gym is like 30 minutes away from my place. I would like to start training.
I was taught this in 7th or 8th grade PE. They taught us self defense for like a week but the way this was taught was to kick with your back leg from an orthodox stance, like your stepping tornado kick but just a kick instead of a step.
Been a fan for a long time, this is as cool as hell. Great to see them actually being used in the octagon because its rare to see the art now in all its glory. The kicks and tricks are supersmart, but most of all they are affective and powerful and absolutely surgical when they land. Its great showin us at home how to do these, but it would also be good to just showcase all the "spinning s##t" and flying kicks with the supercool landings telling us what they are, just for kicks. The video with Crossfire in the background and clips from past battles is awesome. All the best and stay safe from lancashire uk.
how do you fight with your hands down? What do you look for in your opponents, how do you practice slips? I am tryna be wonderboy 2.0 haha. Maybe technique tuesday on head movement?
