AMAZING- AS a bassist of 23 years and having listened to and seen dozens over the years - including Mr Elfson live, have to say you are incredible, AND A finger style like me (were a dying breed). You get jaded over time, think you've seen/done it all, then along comes some-one like you!! Maybe do a slower version for those without steve Harris fingers though, for those just learning? But spot on, note - for note. Cheers

I'm agree with you Birk. Lee Thomas is too generous with his comment (although I love it). This song is not too hard for playing with fingers, but it may seem harder if we compare to play with a pick like the original bassline, that sometimes looks "easier" (but of course it isnt). Anyway there are some cool staff in this song, maybe technically not too dificult but sounds great played fingerstyle. Thank four your comment!

LuzNegra Thrash That was killer! Im new at the bass im a drummer but always loved the bass so been doing that whem not waking up the neighborhood with the skins. I have a 4 string. Any advice you can offer or any direction to go in. Anything would help.

Practice a lot, better with metrónomo or drum tracks (as a drummer I supposse you have the rythm inside). I bought It few years ago in a local music shop close to my city, Dr. Bass www.doctorbass.net/es/tienda_bajos/ It's an small shop, but fully dedicated to bass, it's amazing. I don't know if they have stock of esh bases, but you can check It out. I paid around 1200€ more or less

You nail all the notes then ignore some of the fine details in several areas. Skipping rests and 8th notes between all the 16ths during the solo for instance. I am confused.

Maybe i've ignored some other details, but as far as I know, in the original bassline there are no rests or octaves during the solo. It's not 100% steady the way through. Also he slides into the C at other parts (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NiLxRNTBa_s.html) and most folks just hit it. I mean, you still kill the song, those are just things I noticed. In that same series of clinics he did, he talks specifically about hose "little things" as what makes it "Megadeth playing it". Edit: Also, looking at your video, the rest I am talking about is literally in the tablature. (imgur.com/a/EGNDttI )

Hi Tom! Thanks fou your comment. I used the Darkglass Microtubes b7k which is the most responsible of the sound. Also a bit of compression with the Zoom b3
