This is giving me terrible flashbacks. I'm crying now, remembering how bad that storm was. I was having a sleepover with my friend, and we were in another room while the TV was playing something, and out of NOWHERE I hear the alert. I turned to the TV. I was the only one able to hear it, so I quickly went and told everyone in the house about it. They came into the living room with me to watch. This exact same message was scrolling down the screen. The words "Tornado Warning" from that exact warning message have haunted me since. We tried our best to calm ourselves down, and eventually the storm passed. I'll describe the storm for you, because I was at least five miles from the tornado. There was a flash of lightening every second, maybe more, loud booms of Thunder nearby every five seconds, wind howling and whipping at our house, and the rain battered the house like hailstones. I am still thankful to this day that this terrible storm missed me. I have been through quite a few other tornadoes, but none this close or as bad as this one.
This was a wicked storm! Usually we dont see tornado warnings at that particular time. I managed to capture several minutes of a severe thunder storm warning. The wind got real ugly. Cracked a rib trying to pull the screen door shut. :-o
Holy crap I would've been scared as crap. Something like this happend during summer of 2017 I think August? Anyway I was at my friend's at like at 10 am I got up went outside it was sunny and warm but after heading over there it was like cloudy dark and way more humid we went down to this rathole And then the sirens go off we had bolted off like sanic my brother went running home (like a idiot) But my friend his sister and I all ran inside I had my phone with so after telling them to take cover and I messaged my mom she had told me to come home but instead I got their mom to drive me home. Although nothing really happened where I live XD.
Me and my little sister were watching the Lego movie, and the "this channel is reserved for was rights" came on. We were in the basement. All of the sudden the tornado warning thing came on. Then 30 seconds later sirens came on. I can't believe my phone is working. But I immediately got my sister to our shelter. Then I got my dad who was sleeping in the basement and told him. He went too. I barely got my mom and dog to the shelter. 30 seconds after I got everyone to the shelter the tornado came through. Our house has so much damage to it and my little sister broke her wrist by stray debris! What is your story?
apallo daboss , I'm so sorry to hear about your little sister and the damage to your home. Only a cracked bone for me but, I can relate to the pain. Wishing your sister a speedy recovery. :-) Good thing you got to your sister, mom, dog and your dad on time!
