Toro super recycler belt replacement. 

For those unfamiliar with metric and SAE, you will find that a 10mm socket and/or wrench and an SAE 1/2 inch are literally interchangable. In a very rare circumstance it may be a tight fit. Also, for those that have these type mowers, the Manual Specs the bolt from blade to crankshaft is *60 ft /lbs* You'll find it almost impossible to get it that tight with a walmart type socket set. 60 ft/lbs is quite a lot. You did a decent job putting lipstick on that pig. Would have never thought to wax though

For those with later models of the Super Recycler that have the two belt drive system, note there are two main shaft pullys but only one is visible when you view the underside of the deck. If you are replacing a broken long belt, that pully is attached to the upper pully ring half. The visible main pully is made in separate halves, an upper and lower. You cannot replace the long belt unless you completely remove the entire pully. It is not pressed on and comes off the shaft essily. You must remove the main shaft nut that secures the pulley and lift out both halves to access the long belt pully attached to the top of the upper pulley ring. Consult Toro's spare parts catalog and parts list, referencing your mower's model and serial numbers, for the correct replacement belt. I have been unable to find videos that cover this process adequately.

I have the 2008 model of that exact mower with the Briggs engine. I have maintained it to extremely high standards. I think my mower has the aluminum deck. I am a new sub to your channel & very much appreciate your advice on that Toro engine. If Mordecai (that is my mower's name) ever stops (he starts on the 1st of 2nd pull every time) I will opt for that engine. I will get the old Briggs motor rebuilt however because it is a magnificent piece of engineering.

I learned a lot from your video but wondered: Do you have to remove the blade and the belt guard? Would it be possible to just slip the new belt over the blade and walk the belt onto the pulley? I realize that it would be necessary to remove the belt guard over the transmission pulley. That would save a lot of hassle.

Early on, you mention the drive belt being out of adjustment, and that you would cover that but don't mention it again. I do not believe there is an adjustment

I have this exact mower and it keeps wanting to stall or once stalled it will not start up. I've cleaned the carburetor and it started for about 4 mowings. Now, it won't start up after it was stalling out. I've replaced the spark plug, new oil, new fuel, all lines are clear. Still won't start. Any suggestions?
