I normally use hyper g 48lbs in my head speed pro. I strung up kpop in my racket same tension and I definitely felt a lack of free pop/power compared to hyper g. The string setup felt firmer/stiffer. And it felt like I had to work harder to get a good quality ball compared to my hyper g. I’m going to try a lower tension next time to see if that will help with the firmer feeling and give me more free pop in my Kpop.
Hi Andy , thank you so much for doing these reviews . Timing was perfect as i was trying to decide which Toroline Strings to order today. I live in Australia so to make it worthwhile buying the mini reels makes sense but it can be a slight gamble . Seeing that you had this in the Vcore 95 , which is also what i use , just helped nudge me to stop sitting on the fence and make a decision and order some k-pop. I typically have always used yonex poly tour pro around 57 pounds and while i like this string i am always curios to try something new. regards greg
Aww, glad you found this helpful. K-pop is an awesome string. You just need to dial in the tension for what type of game you have and don’t be afraid to restring often.
Thank you Andy for the review👍 It is good to know. I am waiting for the kpop and kpro now and i was a fan of hyperg due to the durability. I am expecting to see the difference😁
Thanks Andy! good to know! appreciate 🙏 with the colors of the strings for me it is important, regardless of valid reasoning, it can be distracting, and if I just don't like the color, it can throw me off haha so thanks for including that info!
Color definitely makes me want to pick up or drop a racquet. I’m playing now with hyper G in my red vcore - after Christmas, I’m not sure if I’ll like that color combo as much. Lol
I'm not good enough to see a big difference in most polys. What ends up mattering more is feel and tension stability. I have used Wasabi/Pro, Hyper G, Technifibre 4s, Firewire Boost... and I can adjust to all of these strings. It's anticlimactic but I'd rec. to pick whichever color suits your frame and buy a reel. Yes Wasabi does have more snapback but when I ask my returners, they feel the spin's just as heavy on my serve w/ the other options. So it's more if you like that feel of snapping back.
