Toronto’s Mayor Olivia Show shared the tale of the “Dragon and the Pearl”. The story of the dragon’s pearl is one of the oldest and most well known legends in Chinese folklore. The Dragon’s Pearl is a very interesting story with a moral lesson. It was nice how Toronto’s respected Mayor Olivia Chow shared this popular story with us. A dragon holding a pearl is a common image found in Chinese art. The pearl is a symbol of wisdom and power and the dragon represents good luck and prosperity. Mayor Olivia Chow was one of the guests during the Chinese New Year (Lunar New Year) celebration held at Pacific Mall in Markham, Ontario.
