A rare Rail Innovations video that covers the history and modern operations in and around Union Station. Great look inside the control towers, and footage of numerous trains in and out of the station.
There's one thing I particularly love about this. It's those beautiful GO Transit Cab Cars. I always hope to see more footage of them in their primal state with the Half-Width Cabs, so I'm glad to see them numerous times here. Also, you filmed some extremely rare audio at 30:16 and 30:41. The lower numbered Cab Cars built by Hawker Siddeley had those angelic Brass Bells.
@Willy ONR had their FP7ACATs into 2003-2004, and there are no GO F40PHs in this video unless I missed one while in full screen, these are all F59PHs which most lasted until 2008 with a several still operating to this day. The North America livery on CN was introduced in 1992 and there's multiple instances of that in this video. Many other telltale signs it's NOT the 80s, the Canada wordmark on the LRCs, numbers of GO Cabcars and Coaches delivered in the 90s etc, Buildings around Toronto that were built in the 90s.
