TORONTO Walking Tour Bloor Street West
Bloor Street West is a vibrant street in downtown Toronto, Ontario (Canada’s largest city). The intersection of Yonge Street and Bloor Street is one of the busiest in Canada. Bloor Street is a major east west artery in the city and has many businesses and retailers including fashion, restaurants, and banks. The tallest building in Canada (The One) is under construction at One Bloor Street West. Office towers and condominums line and overlook Bloor Street West. The Mink Mile is one of Canada’s most upscale shopping districs in the Yorkville neighbourhood, along Bloor Street, between Yonge Street and Avenue Road. The Bloor Line Subway Metro operated by the TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) runs underneath Bloor Street and is the primary east west public transportation in Toronto.
I walk along Bloor Street West starting at Yonge Street. During the walk, I pass the major cross streets of Bay Street, Avenue Road, Spadina Avenue, Bathurst Street and finish at Christie Street.

Nice to see so many decades of Toronto's relentlessly dull and unimaginative architecture, forming so many layers of a shit-onion. No public spaces, hardly any greenery of any kind, no sense of convivial possibilities; nothing but empty seats at the few outdoor seating areas, also reflected in the complete lack of fashion, let alone style among Torontonians. I can almost imagine the smell of Febreze wafting through the air. And, by the way - vibrant??? I assumed that this was shot on a Sunday on a holiday weekend, when everyone had left the city for the weekend, but according to your date, it's July 25th, which is a damned Thursday! So glad I left this tedious, self-congratulatory dead zone, where all life's possibilities end....and I used to live in that area, and thought it was the best (of the bad choices).

Thank you for your well-written comment. You make some interesting points. While I mostly enjoy Toronto as a city (in the summer 🤣), it is far from perfect like most places. Also like many places, I think it is a better place to visit, rather than live. While I live a nomadic lifestyle and prefer travelling full-time, I would be interested in hearing where you went after Toronto if you don’t mind sharing. I love hearing people’s opinions about different locations whether to visit or live.
