Got mine about a week ago and agree with John's assessment 100% that it's the cooling plates that make the difference. What I like about it is when I lift weights with it on, I barely break a sweat even though it doesn't feel as cool after a while since it seems to negate the overheating and land at neutral. If I didn't have it on, I'd sweat quite a bit, so it's good in that it saves me from having to take a shower right away right away when I'm done. Also, I walk a spoiled dog about 6 times a day because he gets all up in my grill and barks to go out, and it keeps me from sweating on those walks up to about 80 degrees or so. Admittedly, I haven't had mid 80s (fahrenheit) temperatures or above yet and am sure it wouldn't work nearly as well, but would still be better than nothing. Moreover, when you get in a car that's pretty hot, it will likely keep you from sweating in the time it takes the AC to cool it down. The battery does only last about 1.5 to 2 hours full cool, which works for me except if I go on a long excursion, in which case I would run it at a lower setting for longer. Finally, there is an app that you can use so you don't have to take it off to change settings, and it's very user friendly for zones and amount of cooling.
I have the Coolify 3 and Coolify 2S. The cooling plate works well when the temperature is in a closed room, but outdoors, it doesn't feel very cool. The air that comes out isn't cool; it's just regular air at ambient temperature. I'm wondering if the Coolify CYBER blows genuinely cool air or if it's just blowing air at the ambient temperature. I have already returned the Coolify 2S and Coolify 3, and I live in Thailand, where the temperature is over 34++°C. They didn't work very well for outdoor use.
I don’t think it will be good for outdoor use unless u are stationary , air blowing out is pretty much normal temperature, only cool part is cooling plate . Speaking from one living in Singapore
Can you compare this to any other cooling neck fans you've tried? Does the air come out cold if you're in hot weather or will it blow warm wind and just the plates that are cold?
@@williamdevonshire366 I have tried cheaper cooling fans (e.g. those ranging from 20-50$) , they just blow air and it is generally only good for indoor use as when you are outdoors it is not effective if the surrounding air is warm or hot . For this coolify fan , it has cold cooling plates , however i doubt it will be effective if the weather outside is super warm unless u on at max speed and max cooling . I feel that the cooling plates do cool , but the functunality of the fan is comparable to other normal neck fans. So if u buy it you are really paying for the cold cooling plates. The fans are pretty average
