The funny thing about the Jill Scott situation is I don’t know anyone that thinks Chris Brown is not talented. But I know plenty of people that think he needs improvement as a man. If his personality/past behavior outside of his work is impacting his career that’s what is called ✨consequences ✨

With Raven’s wife I would think at some point you would want to watch stuff your partner has been in. Maybe you weren’t into it back in the day but at some point wouldn’t you have a fun movie night and watch some stuff together? Just for fun? Just to see what’s gone on in your partner’s life? It’s the continuing narrative that is a red flag for me.

To be fair I watched the interview with Raven, and her wife was just saying she was older than the target demographic for That’s so Raven but she had a younger sister who watched it so she did know who she was, she just didn’t know that much about the show. Not to mention Raven revealed she was 18 when she was filming and she also wouldn’t have watched it bcuz it was for kids. Also her wife (Miranda) didn’t just bring it up, Fannita asked her a question about it lol
tbh I didn't know raven's wife did interviews with her and I don't know why she does, but in a general sense, I think non-famous or less-famous SOs want to emphasize that the fame isn't want attracted them to their partner also Jill Scott just sounds like she hasn't kept up with the cases, news, etc. and I get that because I don't go looking for them either, but usually it's best not to comment in that scenario.

Hmmm, Simone Biles. I have the opposite reaction to people who say “I can do everything and anything”. I think what people are not understanding about The Jill Scott ‘Cement’ comment, IS HER mom & Jill was beaten in the Philly Streets to the point where the ‘Cement’ was stained. Then the person died. So, her & her mom went to massive therapy. Jill became a teacher in public school. Her mom opened a non-profit. You can heal from trauma and move on in a positive direction. As this relates to Chris Brown, 😢 In my opinion all Jill was doing is trying to say how she moved on from the ‘Cement’ to the sky. Maybe Chris shows the more mature women in his personal /public life grace. We do not know. We all know his public life. Jill knows. I think in my opinion, Chris is coddled because he is Chris Brown. Quick answer: there is a huge difference between being an abuser and reactive abuse. You might wanna do some more research on DMV before you say something so inflammatory. And if current times are anything to go by, only one person is still doing the abusing.

I am so amused and puzzled by people who decry Black female celebrities (never their boyfriends!) for having children out of wedlock when the majority of us have sex out of wedlock and are products of such partnerships. 🙄
Speak for yourself. Most black women live in Africa and having children out of wedlock is frowned upon in most African countries. It’s shameful, stop trying to normalize baby mama culture as a black thing. It’s not. It’s an American thing.
