brilliant piece by the way, it is probably inspired by Ennio Morricone (at least the first part), and it has a very "cinematic" feeling. One of the best pieces by Tortoise, in my opinion.
yes.. it is a semi-hollowbody..it's a Gibson ES -335.Nice guitar..and Parker is a really good guitarist, too!Love Tortoise..I think it's amazing how they sound like no one else out there.
THE FIRST ONE IS A ES-335 and the second one is a FENDER VI that actually is a baritone guitar but by many other people is conceder in like a sixth bass a JAGUAR give you the same tone
...Ennio Morricone...it's easy to find his evidence here (and in a lot of other T. works)...what surprised me was to find out that they know and love Franco Battiato. Totally unexpected..
@Aspartamebraintumor: Yes-well spotted! A "Fender Six",essentially a baritone guitar.Pretty rare, and often just presumed to be a Jaguar by the casual observer.
Hey I noticed you were marked as spam, but its weird cause we do have good taste in music, and i also recommend watching money as debt. its actually quite an eye opener about the international banking system.
cheers for adding this. Nice one. Cant wait for the new album now! shameless plugging but, Check out The Window Right. We're from the uk. You might like us if you like Tortoise. Cheers again!!!!
Yup, you're right. Turns out that the song I thought was called "I Set My Face To The Hillside" is really called "Ten Day Interval". A complex way of explaining a simple mistake. My bad!
Scenic - Acquatica (1996); anything by Anouar Brahem / Anouar Brahem Trio; anything by Cul De Sac, especially the album China Gate (1996) and its song “Nepenthe”; Macha’s self-titled album (1998), the instrumentals on Eric Clapton’s Rush soundtrack (1991); anything by Dirty Three; the song “Nomad” by the Aqua Velvets (1996). The Scenic and Macha albums in particular are two of the most mind-bogglingly brilliant ones I’ve ever heard.
I strongly recommend watching: money as debt, freedom to fascism, ring of power, 911 mysteries, viberation creates form, behold a pale horse, 2012 enigma, Jim Marrs the 4th reich, the polarity matrix field, Graham Hancock - Quest for the Lost Civilization ,Red Ice TV - Episode 4 - Symbolism in Logos, Indigenous Native American Prophecy, Michael Badnarik's Constitution Class 1 of 43, Consuming Kids:The Comercialisation of Children, Fluoride Deception Part 1, Are You a Sovereign Yet...
Funny. I found this song from my liked videos. But I've Never heard this before. Some weird UtUbe joke? And for the record - I don't like this song, but I also will not give it a red thumb. It's not that bad =)
