Day 4 aboard the Disney Fantasy sees us making port in Tortola in the British Virgin Islands. My review of Tortola is that there's very little to see or do directly at the port. I'd recommend choosing to do an excursion that day if you really wanted to see something special.
Pirate Night aboard Disney Cruise Line sees a special Pirate show featuring Captain Jack Sparrow, Fireworks set to the music of Pirates of the Caribbean and a special pirate menu at dinner.
Throughout the vlog I'll be sharing some of my Disney Cruise Line planning and vacation tips as well as some little known facts of Disney Cruise Line.

Hi Adam, the best thing to do after doing an intolerance test is an experiment. Eliminate the most reactive foods for 1-2 months and then reintroduce them again one at a time and see how your body reacts to confirm the results. This way, if you tell yourself you only have to quit gluten for a month you are more likely to stick to that, and then when you reintroduce it and feel awful then there's that extra physical motivation to stay away from it. I'm a holistic nutritionist hoping to help out :)

Your pirate look was amazing!! Loving this series ☺️ Just a heads up - if it was the intolerance test where they ask for strands of your hair, it doesn’t have any scientific standing. (My boyfriend got a groupon deal and did this exact test) So if you do think you’ve got intolerances your best bet is to go through your GP. If it wasn’t the hair test then ignore this 😂☺️❤️ xxx

Might want to watch out on those intolerance tests. There isn’t really any regulation on them, so there could be a false positive.

Yes! I was just going to say that often those tests just indicate what is high in your diet and it is not a true intolerance. I would take those results with a grain of salt.

Love the BVI's! The rum and coke cracks me up. True story : The rum is cheaper than the coke since it has to be imported so it's actually more cost effective for them to make it a really strong drink than a weak one.

I agree with you you have to mentally prepare yourself, do lots of research and make actual changes at home and with shopping etc and keep a food diary and diary of symptoms etc best to make a clean start after your holiday

My family cruises Disney and we all avoid gluten and dairy. We don't feel deprived. At Cabanas, a chef can walk you through the line and tell you what is "safe" or you can request a special order that they will bring to your table. We have enjoyed donuts, muffins, and Mickey waffles! At dinner, they have gluten free bread and vegan butter. They also had gluten free chicken tenders at the poolside snack spots! Lots of options! You just have to ask :) As for the post dinner headaches...betting it was the bread. I used to feel that way after meals. Don't feel discouraged, my friend! It is possible to enjoy food without gluten on a Disney vacation!

Hi. Bad luck on the intollerances, but as they say, its better to know. My Mum, who is gluten free, (as am I) said only last week, I wonder if Adam is gluten intolerant? However, you should really get a coelliac test before you give up gluten. I didn't and can't bare to go back on the gluten to have the test done, because it makes me feel so rubbish. Also, if you are coeliac, in the UK you can get prescription gluten free bread. M&S does pretty good gluten free stuff, although a bit expensive. Also, find out if you can tolerate oats. Some gluten intolerant people can't (like me) but some can. You shouldn't feel so tired when you go gluten free. Hope all this helps and good luck. xxx

Omg I also found out that I have a gluten and yeast allergy as well! Literally just cut out that stuff two weeks ago and feel so much better. Love your vlogs by the way and your pirate costume

Double check with your Dr, but when I went GF my skin cleared up almost immediately and I felt so much better. I cheat every so often but it's not so bad. It's becoming easier to fing GF things. I wish you the best.

Yeah, that eyeliner really works for you. I think Johnny Depp might just have started something. I wouldn’t take the tolerance testing too seriously. I would guess if you got tested again with a different provider, you would get a different list of results.

First of all, I love watching your vlogs! I do hope your intolerance test was a false positive but if not, I just want you to know all is not lost. I have had Celiac Disease for the past 17 years. I can't have any gluten whatsoever! These days it's not as bad as when I was first diagnosed. It is much more common and many restaurants are well equipped with gluten free alternatives. Good luck!

There’s also gluten in beer. My husband found out he had a gluten allergy last year and lost 25 lbs once he changed his diet.

Adam I would get a GP to do those tests, a friend did that groupon test and her severe nut allergy didn't show up on it! She has to carry an epi pen 😮 love the pirate outfit!

I found out a couple of days ago gluten and sugar sets off my eczema. I feel you on the not ready to part with gluten thing. Gluten free pasta is like £400 and im broke. And also please wear eyeliner like everyday

Definitely get your results double checked, and talk to, a doctor and/or a nutritionist. Not saying they're not right, but just do your due diligence - you deserve that. Torotola is gorgeous, and definitely looks like the image in my head when I think of "tropical island". You looked fab in your pirate costume, and certainly not you need to lose any weight!! Those online intolerance tests are such a placebo thing! They don’t really have any scientific regulations and often flag up what’s high in your diet at the time. Once you’ve then been told that and cut it out it can be a placebo effect where you start to feel better even though there’s no change. Just go to the doctors if you’re genuinely concerned especially being from the uk as you don’t even have to pay for it!

I'm a bit skeptic about the gluten intolerance - you'd know if you were intolerant: you'd be suffering from upset stomachs all the time apart from anything else. My daughter has had lactose intolerance for a few years, but has been slowly adding it back into her diet in the past few months. Get yourself re-tested through your doctor, seriously, before you go playing with your diet. It wouldn't hurt to cut back on gluten/bread, though - a lot of people say they have trouble controlling their weight when they eat a lot of bread products. Mushrooms - I'm with you on them. As a small child I was always given them to eat along with my 3 brothers, and then one morning (I was about 7) I was chewing my scrambled egg with mushroom and I couldn't swallow the mushroom. I literally chewed that monster for 5 minutes before giving up and spitting it out - and I've never been able to stand the smell or taste since. My body basically just rejected it!

He mentions the symptom of not being able to lose weight, plus he complains about skin issues so there's another symptom of gut trouble. Sometimes reactions to food go far further than tummy trouble, for example wheat affects my brain health and gives me canker sores. adam's symptoms could be some protein in bread (gluten , glutamine, etc) or something else he is eating but he would do well to take his results and experiment with an elimination diet to see what on the test results is actually a trigger. Sometimes we can't tell how intolerant we are to something until we stop eating it and then go back to it.

I am gluten free due to Celiac Disease. I was diagnosed December 23,2011. It does get easier over time. There is more gluten free products available.

I would be so dubious about an intolerance test from a private company that isn’t from a qualified medical professional! Imagine paying for an intolerance test (sometimes in excess of £100 at full price, and I’ve seen some up to £300!) and it coming back with no intolerances. They wouldn’t do it! There will always be something on that list! If you had an genuine intolerance you would KNOW about it. I went through years of testing, hospital trips, hospital stays and month and months of food diaries. If it was as simple as an “intolerance test” where you get an email result a week or so later, i would have done it, but no medical professional will back those tests! I’d be really interested to see what they come back with for someone who is genuinely intolerant! 🙈

Please get this checked out by your GP. Obvs you can cut out whatever you want from your diet but tests done via the method you chose may not be accurate and you could cause yourself loads of un-necessary issues for no reason. My daughter is coeliac, diagnosed by a stomach biopsy and it isn’t an easy life, don’t do it if you don’t need to.

Take your intolerance results with a pinch of salt. Go to the GP and get a proper test done. Celiac disease is easy to diagnose, pretty sure it’s just a blood test.
