@@mybudinesd4545 it really did. There’s no doubt that this should have been cut with a rotary cutter or flail mower but the Spartan handled it with very little trouble. Some minor things came up but overall if I were buying for home use I wouldn’t mind having one again.

@@MrZipperhead16 sorry I’m just seeing this. To answer your question. The engine went out at 26 hours. 6 hours after its first oil change.

Thanks! The blades were good and sharp. This particular model was their pedestal display unit so it was inside for the time they had it. I looked at this exact mower at least 5 times before eventually talking myself into it.

@@jonathanmartin9154 I encountered uneven cutting my blades was dull I changed them out and things are better. However, I have some uneven spots in my yard and sometimes it leaves some patches that I have go over more thuan once to try to even everything out. My son told me to use sand to help level my yard.

Super sharp blades make all the difference.

But he's a lawn professional...hehehe! He has, "Customers". Heck, that's probably really HIS house!

@@thufifamaster255 did you ever get a Spartan? If so how has it held up and how many hours are on it?

My SPARTAN is a beast zero issues 200 hours and mow 15 acres every week of my personal hilly WV property

@@dougcallmaker239 I’d have to agree. While they are probably a decent residential mower they aren’t ready for the commercial world just yet. Not for any reasons shown here but because of the finish cut quality. There’s no stripe kit on the deck, the keypads are junk and let’s not get started on the issue with the rear wheels falling off. You can go on any Spartan page and find a ton of people defending their Spartan with 200 hours on it and the rear wheel motor or hub has broken. They will all claim it’s the best mower they’ve ever used but I’d put a Wright ZK with 2k hours up to a new Spartan any day of the week. Spartan is pricing themselves into the same category therefore, they should be held to the same standards.

You heard, I have had zero issues now you heard that.

The mower isn’t ready for comercial use for a lot more reasons than noted here. Also, if you can buy a bush hog for $200 you may want to buy all you can find. Bring them to KY and you’ll make money hand over fist.

@@jonathanmartin9154 I’m next door in Missouri and see 5ft bush hogs listed weekly for $200-$250. I have one myself for managing ATV trails.

Pick one or two up for me please. Can’t touch them at a reasonable rate up here. I just purchased a grader box and bought new because people wanted new prices for ones that have been used for 20 years and are all bent up.
