I'm with you on the tomatoes Link. The texture doesn't bother me and I'll eat them on sandwiches or things where they aren't very strong. but straight tomatoes, and strong salsa, is nasty.

Rhett you have no idea how bad tomatoes taste when your taste buds reject them. It's one of my least favorite foods, I dont know how to describe how bad they taste to me. Link i feel your pain.

I don't like raw tomatoes either. Something about them being cold and the sharpness of the taste mixed with the acidity, bleh. I don't like raw mushrooms because the texture is so rubbery compared to when they are cooked.

I'm the same as you, Rhett; I keep a thing of grape or cherry tomatoes in my fridge at all times just to snack on or eat with a meal. I even used to take roma tomatoes in my lunches to school instead of other fruits.

I know what it is for Link's like for ketchup and tomato sauce, etc. Most of those tomato based products have a small amount of sugar and salt in them so if Link tries Cherry Tomatoes with a small amount of sugar, it might work. Emphasis on might because taste could just be it.

I have a similar reaction as Rhett when people tell me that they don't like tomatoes. Apparently people either like them any way, only like them raw, or only like them cooked. I didn't realize how polarizing of a topic this was. I love tomatoes. After work I went to the grocery store and bought kumato tomatoes and fresh mozzarella to make a simple caprese salad. Those tomatoes are delicious!

I know you probably won't see this but I went to that same torture museum in Prague. We went a couple of months ago and it also had a wax museum that was apart of it. Was definitely a great place to visit.

There must be more too it than preference. From what Rhett was saying he seemed to suggest all other tomato products taste same as cherry toms. I think it's something similar to Cilantro. It takes specific taste buds to be able to detect the pleasing flavor compounds in it, and those flavors get interpreted as something completely different and foreign without them. We can gain the compatible taste buds by eating it consistently, but it's a catch 22. Gotta eat it to like it and you gotta like it to eat it.

As long as the glasses they give away don't leave the united states.. when companies do the buy one give one project and send them to other countries that need them they are forcing people there to use "our" glasses instead of that country making their own and helping their economy. on large scales america can drive out other places businesses that need their businesses just because we think we are doing the right thing. this has already happened with a lot of other companies that have done this.

The absolute best tool of torture was a Bamboo plant growing through a person, or multiple plants. Just to inform, Bamboo is a type of grass and can grow several inches per day given the right surroundings.

The tomatoes look like they would be candy sweet, but they are more briney. Ketchup is sweet, and sauces have spices and such. Raw tomatoes are unique tasting.

tomatoes are sweet but more on the tart side added with water. the difference between lemonade and a squishy tomato is the mixture and more leafy less citrus
