Kickers and punters don't usually get drafted. They make the team via tryouts. So stop acting like Tory is somehow more down to earth. Believe me, if he had been a top-ten pick, he would have been in the green room, too. Watching the guys in person is good for TV and the NFL.

You’re kinda missing my point but maybe it’s the way I presented it. I really wasn’t talking about the person so much as the manner in which his story was told. Clean and without embellishment. It has more sincerity to it IMHO. I wouldn’t care if it was a punter or Caleb Williams himself. I get the dog and pony show and I enjoy that as well, up to a point, but at the end of the day I think this makes for a more relatable story. I’m not hating on the guys that have the spotlight in the green room or “rooting for the underdog” that’s drafted sitting at his kitchen table. Just saying I liked the way it went down for him.

Dont think he did. Otherwise they had more staff and coaches talk to their 4th round punter they picked, than they talked to Caleb Williams, Odunze, and other lmao

It more than counts. Most fans dont know shit about football, they only focus on QB, WR, RB. When in reality for people that know football.. they know the OLine is the most important position, and Kicker and Punter are also two of the most important position and can change outcomes of a game and can be the difference between a Win and a Loss. Having a punter than can place the ball within the 5 every time is HUGE! This was a mega pick up

@@gregd6706 this will help you out… In 2023, the Chicago Bears ranked 25th in gross yardage (46.1 yards per punt), 31st in net (38.0), 30th in touchback percentage (11.9%), 30th in punts inside the 20-yard line (26.9%) and 25th in return yards allowed (381) So forgive me if I’d like to imagine we upgraded…however YOUR punter ended up has little practical relevance to the one we drafted besides the coincidence of the position, and the evaluation which was proven inaccurate Additionally, might I remind you that your field has maybe the only grass shittier than the Bears, in the whole league? Which often makes or ruins kickers, depending on the player

As we have seen Harvin was an AMAZING College football punter who FLAMED out on the NFL.......NOTHING is saying Taylor might not do the same.
