I have one of these heaters. Great product. But how often must the wick be changed? Can you load a video showing how to replace the wick? Also, is there a way to see in real time how much paraffin is in the tank?
@Thamsanqa Morakabi if you use good grade paraffin you will only get a smell when starting the heater up or when switching it off. You can light it outside the house and leave it outside for 5 minutes then bring it inside once the start up smell disappears. Also, once it is inside your house, don't turn the wick all the way up. If the wick is so high that you start seeing tall yellow flames, then you are running it too high and you will create smell. But if you turn it down such that you see only a blue flame, you shouldn't have a problem with smell. Also it is recommended to leave a window slightly open because it uses convection heating. When it comes to heating, this heater is one of the most effective heaters I've had. My garage is icy in winter, but with this heater the garage gets warm and stays warm very quickly. The warmth is not only just around the heater. It is all over the garage, much like when using aircon for heating.
@@johannakhutjo657 fuel evaporation temperature defference. clear kerosene burns cleanly because when the device is hot, it is the vapors that burn. this is not the case with paraffin.
I have this heater.... however I nomore use it although I need it. Paraffin smells too strong. And the smell stays for too long, more to the clothes. I would love to know where does one get the right paraffin to use.
