I only feel like spending a lot of money in the beginning might be necessary and that's only depending on the size of the clan you can get into, but once you're at level 5 guardsmen and your kingdom opens up, you should prioritize finding a huge clan in a bigger kingdom to join that regularly does clan marches for cp and has a chest requirement because the chests will fund all of your personal chest requirements and a ton of epic and ancient attacks, therefore gaining you a ton of valor and xp... and the cp marches will gain you a ton of cp... even when these huge clan make you pay taxes in silver it's a drop in the bucket compared to the amount of silver, gold, potions, tar, dragon coins, speed ups, and captain summons you bring in from the chests.
I recently returned to the game, just got to lvl 3 guardsmen only because i tried the epic monster and got a heap of valor, did that a few times and it boosted the valor and exp really quick
Some of the daily quest require you to use valor points for research in other categories outside of guardsmen. Do you skip those? How do you feel about doing daily quest activities as it pertains to priorities?
I always do daily quests because it should only take 20 minutes a day if you do it right. You still do research outside of guardsmen but for the daily quests parts. Research priorities are guardsmen, economy, army modernization, and archology.
I agree! I am at guardsmen level two in a chilled and friendly clan. My cost so far is zero, my budget is zero. The tips here for using Valor points to build up Guardsmen and Conquest points for Army Modernisation are pretty much what I was doing, so I do appreciate the tips. However, I don't think it is necessary to pay anything in to this game to enjoy it. The tips here and in other of his videos about which captains are useful is good advice.
@@johncheshire6581 That's cool, I already uninstalled the game. I was building up my troops for a whole week and then somebody wanted to come and attack me for no reason whatsoever my game froze when I was trying to defend and next thing I knew, I lost all my troops.

Don't listen to this idiot, get in a clan that knows how to play and the only reason you will have RSS buildings is to upgrade your walls. Generate clan wealth with chests from tar, citadels and tournaments (especially Ancients). You need barracks! 1 of each other type of building you can do and BARRACKS! 1 Mansion, getting silver this way is for bads! All Farms! Farms + barracks = Lots of troops quickly, that is how you grow quickly. Just don't play with dipshits who don't generate wealth.
You need one silver the rest are food. You only need one wood, stone and steel. The rest Barricks.. if you build like he’s telling you to your queue size when you build troops is going to be ridiculously small, making you spin speed ups to build an army and the more food you have the bigger or army you can have you’ll get plenty of silver and other rss from clan chest.
I think one thing you left out about the gathering... Is how the level 1 spearmen gather just as much as the higher level spearmen, but they gather much faster. I suppose in theory it's because their armor is lighter.
troop type doesn't affect gathering speed at all. But level 1 spearmen can carry more and move faster than most troops. Level 1 spies move fast and are useful gathering gold and tar.
@@nimbuto I'm not sure you understood me, which confuses me about you because I was pretty clear, but let me explain differently and maybe you'll understand better, plus its all based on a number system that's clearly written in their stats so I don't know what the debate is about when I'm stating exactly what their stats reflect... If you compare stats between a level 1 spearman and a level 5 spearman, their capacity is the same, but their speed is different, level 1's are faster but carry the same amount. I didn't say that a level 1 spearman gathers faster than a level 1 archer, their two speeds are the same, but their capacities are different and a spearman carries more, but at the same speed. Now tell me what about that or my original comment is incorrect please.
LOL 100 to 200 dollars a month for that game. That is so overvalued. You can buy great games for much less 1 time expense and play it with no more expenses. This game is just an app on the Phone.
I stopped watching before the first break, this city is trash. I cannot take advice from someone whole builds a mansion centric city, they clearly don't know how to play. Multiple RSS building instead of barracks? wow, really in for the long grind here. No matter what you say, it is all wrong before you even started.
My setup was based on not good clans and building quickly. My city setup drastically changed now that I am in a good clan where I do not have to worry about silver and resources. You have to adapt to circumstances, not saying my setup was correct for everyone but my growth shows it was correct for me.
No thanks, not spending any money on this, i only came for the math runs, once thats blocked im out. If i wanted to waste money there are better games, better mmorpg i can waste money on. OR i can buy all the Amiibos, and even tho thats a waste of money atleast i will have something physical to show for it.
