Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

I'm 87 years old and growing up as a kid when a farmer broke a leg or had a serious illness all of the farmers in the neighborhood pitched in to help. The farms we smaller anywhere from 100 acres to 300 so there were a lot of farmers in the area. It's great to see a modern day version of that. You are a good man Zac Johnson and I always enjoy your videos.

So glad everyone was safe and took the proper precautions I am now 54 years old and live in the mid northern Indiana region, back in the big tornado outbreak of 1974, our house took a direct hit from an F5 tornado, i was 5 years old, we did not have a basement and I was literally sucked up into it when our house exploded. Thankfully from neighbors, I was found about 300 yards out in the middle of one of our corn fields and taken to a hospital about an hour away and remained in a coma for 3 days. Thank you to all who come together for families in need.

Thank you for featuring Farm Rescue. I'd never heard of them before. I'm from NH... not a farmer, but I milked cows by hand and did general farm work when I was young and those were some of the best days in my life. When I see how our government and other countries treat farmers, it's clear that our farms and future farmers are our future. At 75, I think the best way I can help is to see what I can scrape together and donate to Farm Rescue. Watching your channel gives me a break from the insanity in the world and gives me hope for the future. God bless you.

I'm glad to see that places like Farm Rescue exist and flourish, and even happier to see the fruits of their labors. Too many people see stories like this on the news and think that "oh - they have insurance, they will be fine", not understanding that yes, they may have insurance, but it could take years before that check is in the bank. My mom was born and grew up in the Wheat Fields of the Columbia Basin here in Washington, and I remember hearing stories of farmers that had something devastate their crop and how surrounding farmers did what they could to chip in and help out in those times, so your spreading the word like this is awesome. Every little bit of light shown on these events hopefully raises awareness just a little bit more.

One of your very best episodes of the Millenial Farmer...and that is saying a LOT! Thank you, Zach, for making the trip, for being there, for being a part of Farm Rescue, for caring and doing all that you do. We watched you lose a grain bin, shed and some equipment and like so many people in farm country you picked up and kept on going. Thank you for the perspective that is SO familiar in farm country...neighbor helps neighbor no matter what! Farm Resuce helping 1,000 farms in 18 years demonstrates the great need. This episode was deeply moving and satisfying. I LOVED that no one was talking about FEMA and government intervention...it was farmer touching farmer ane solving a problem. This is how we eat and we MUST not take it for granted!

I think I heard you talk about Farm Rescue before but I didn’t realize how big of a deal it is. Also crazy how farmers help eachother out. Farmers are just incredibly. Also as a farmer you have pretty much every job: Mechanic, researcher, chemist, office job, a bit of a veterinarian if you have livestock, fabricator and on top you work as a farmer. Support is always welcome…

Great idea to help others, well done. Sadly these weather disasters are becoming more and more the norm so helping each other is the way to go. Thanks for showcasing this effort.

The fact that Farm Rescue does this for free is amazing. Zach you are such a great person and are in RU-vid to spread awareness and not for views.

That is fantastic, you were 10 miles from my operation. Sadly when I lost everything I wasn’t big enough for anyone to give a shit about me. I list everything and no body showed up except my neighbors going to my landlords to steal my leases ground from me. But the family you helped out here are good people.

Thank You all For helping Farmers caught in tornadoes that destroyed so much of their lives. One crop may not help them replace everything they lost but it certainly helps a great deal.

As strange as it seems for a city boy, this has become one of my favorite channels. Much respect to Zach and ngl, my favorite farmer in training, Onyx.

Wow, thank G-d they weren't harmed, mr. pifer really looked choked up a bit describing this, and it choked me up. Farm rescue is such a good organisation, and you driving down to promote their work on this channel was really great as well. Right around the time this happened to him, we were hit with a heavy rain storm that froze overnight, and i can say it was a scarry sound hearing large tree's breaking all around us. I was thankful to the Lord that i suffered only a hole in my roof from a tree limb that hit it, same thing happened to my barn. We lost power for several day's, but some of my neighbor's had major damage, some still not fixed. Anyone who has this kind of weather devastation knows how it is. Zach, you got it bad last year, you just don't know when it could be you. G-d bless.

I felt myself tearing up. Tractors gone. Equipment gone. House gone. The crop is still there but no way now to harvest it when when it's ripe. The damages must be in thr millions.
