I had a leg length discrepancy of 56 mm resulting from hip replacement surgery after a vehicle accident. Is there any recent technology that can correct this as I had no genetic leg length discrepancy before surgery. I understand that 56 mm is very much beyond the normal result from hip surgery. Many thanks Dr. Rozbruch.
Hello Dr Robert, thanks for sharing information..I am from India and I have half inch of difference leg length discrepancy, from birth as my pelvis is tillt, please guide me what can be done and how much it will cost me..I am 33 year old
It appears to me that the hip with arthritis tends to tilt to male that side shorter. Have you seen thw opposite. In my case the arthritis side actually got longer?
Me too I have the same problem you have mentioned. I got sick when I was 5 years old and became disabled in both my left 🖐 and leg 🦵. Now I’m 33 yrs old. Since that time 28 yrs I’m disabled and didn’t get any treatment at all. Now looking I’m looking for treatment
Charity Ka First may GOD help you get completely healthy again. If you decide accept the Surgery option this is my suggestion 1: before you go to surgery try to deeply understand what your problem is( get to know the exact name of your illness or disability), which body organs of yours are affected by the problem? 2: make a research to know about how many percent of people that I have the same problem as you are treated by the hospital you’re going to How many percent of that people are successfully treated? 3: get to know what other side effects could that surgery cause to you? Then after all this things if you think tthe surgery is your best option of getting better Go ahead and Goodluck

how long did it took for the leg to even out after the hip replacement because I have the same exact issue but mine has not level out yet after my total hip replacement surgery but my doctor said it would be level with time so I don't understand
I have one shin (leg bone) longer than the other. I had an accident when i was 8 years old (i am 31 now), i broke my left shin and it grew almost 3 cm longer than the other. 6 years have passed while wearing an 2 cm "wear lift" in my right shoe, my right "latissimus dorsi" muscle is swollen and i feel tension in my neck with some minor hearing loss in my left ear. I do not know if this is the right call, the two specialists i have consulted told me the same thing, to increase the height of my heel in time until i reach 2.7 cm. I am really desperate about my condition because surgery (shortening the left leg bone) is out of the question, there is no one that could take care of me for more then 1 month and the recovery could take up to 6 months. I am constantly on the move, either im filming or at the office, it would be impossible for me to stay at home or in a hospital for that long!
