My mom passed away last Thursday 1 day before her 76th birthday and 3 days before my 56th. She was my best friend but I know She’s in a better place and pain free.
Our 24 year old son went to Heaven Feb 12, 2016. I had prayed and prayed for his healing from leukemia. It was so hard to reconcile with God after this. I refused to listen to any praise music even though I had been a praise leader in church for years. When I did hear this son, I broke and cried and cried. It really ministered to my brokenness.
Praise God that this song ministered to you Brenda. You have the great hope of one day being with your son in Heaven & together you will Praise & Worship Our Lord & Saviour. Bless you. 🙏🙏🙏
Richard Smallwood wrote this during a dark time in his life. He was a caretaker for two people, one with Alzheimers and one with cancer. He originally sat down to write a "Woe is me" song , but this kept coming out instead. It's what he called "Valley praise".
During one of my darkest hours and worst nights of my life, I remembered Paul and Silas praising God in the prison cell. I was simply amazed that they desired to Praise God in the midst of circumstances so dire and hopeless. They were beaten and imprisoned for serving the Lord God, and yet here they were singing praises to Him. I noticed that their chains fell off in the midst of their praises. I desperately wanted relief from my afflictions and began to praise God. My praise turned into a deeper and deeper thanksgiving as I was praising His Holiness and His great name. Suddenly I began hearing voices of angels singing praise to God.it was simply the most beautiful sound that ever hit my ears and yet it was inaudible. I finally sensed after hours of pure praise that God wanted me to see what He had done. I looked around and my family was no longer sick. Totally healed! I continued praising God and have never had a glimpse of heaven like that before or since. They were singing You are Holy, Holy, Holy. So Holy It was harmonious and glorious and more beautiful than even the Hallelujah Chorus. Thanks for the music that you allow God to sing through you.
Wow!.. this is a Spirit-inspired song and words. It is so anointed spilling-over me. In my life as a Person with disabilty, every word is so true, Jesus is the Source of my strength and the Strength of my life, i lift my hands in total praise to Him. Thanks for the info.

I love the part at 5:30 when the choir comes back in. Even more, I love the diversity of the performers. The church should be the model for multicultural harmony and love!
This is my Gift from my Heavenly Father sending this Group, Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir to my IPhone this day. I’m thanking Him right now & sending to share these praises of His Holy name to my family members. This choir is a Gift from God. I will be listening to them daily. Hallelujah & keep praising our God because this world needs this gospel everyday.🙏🏿🙏🏿🌹🌹🌺❤❤
Those "Amen"'s at the end are KILLER !!! I had the pleasure of accompanying a church choir with this song, I'd never heard it before, but sight read the music and when the "Amen"'s came in at the end I was totally blown away! I went from "Meh, it's ok" to "HOLY COW THIS IS FANTASTIC!!!" I've loved the song ever since!

Lord, I pray for those prisoners whether or not they are still where they were when the choir blessed them. I pray for restoration, for brokenness, for peace and most of all for salvation. I pray that the seed planted that day bears fruit and that even now you may make yourself known in their lives and the lives of their families. In Jesus name I pray. Amen!

I conducted Total Praise hundreds of times in Italy and in Europe, and every time it was a strong emotion, to me, to my singers and for the audience. What a powerful song! Thank you so much for this piece of heavenly music ❤
Absolutely Angelic! My God can you just imagine the heavenly choir? Hallelujah! I am translated to another realm floating on the wings of the wind! Thank you Jesus!
As I settle, traveling the wave, the awareness of balm, of "Bosom", my eyes trickling wells of gratitude, mind in rememberance, appreciation of increasing capacity and perpetual discoveries. Remaining is that soothing confirmation that I am that I am and not alone in divinity! Yes, have a continued great day!
My church has a touring youth choir for kids 7th-12th grade. We just finished our twentieth anniversary tour to Colorado. This was one of our songs. It was my favorite out of all songs for that sole reason. Chills every time man. Amen 🙏🙌
Jay Culotta, thank you for the info. Truly a special presentation. I applaud the Brooklyn Tabernacle for ministering to the inmates. Everybody needs Jesus!
This song has lifted me up during some of the darkest hours and days of my life. And I am continuing to give honor and praise to God Almighty. Because he can do anything but fail ☝️....
My dear friend passed away yesterday after spending 50 years praising God here on earth and now he's experiencing "Total" praise with our Father I'm heaven. This song and BTC's rendition is one of my favorites and now has more meaning in my life as to how I approach God in praise ams worship.
"Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honor and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen." Revelation 7:12. Glory to God!! Hallelujah!
This is such a blessing to me. I am a Pentecostal missionary working in Belize and this is my nourishment when I am feeling weak and tired. It reminds me why I am doing this. Thanks to everyone involved.
Thank You, Lord, for inspiring Richard Smallwood to write this majestic hymn of praise. Perhaps You have more in the Library of Heaven? Send down here! AMEN
When they hit that chord at 1:33 it's ON! And the Amens at the end wrap up one beautiful song. Now to figure out who will sing this at my funeral......since BTC is more than a few states away from me :)
I too dropped to the floor in humble adoration and prayer for our precious Lord. I just had to share this with you. God bless and keep you in your salvation.

THE LORD IS DESERVING OF TOTAL PRAISE AND MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IN DESCRIBIING ALMIGHTY GOD AND THE LORD JESUS THE WORD AWESOME DOESN'T EVEN SCRATCH THE SURFACE, BUT IT WILL DO FOR NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This choir has blessed me beyond all measure for eleven years ever since i was re-born. If there is a more annointed choir than this one then God kept it for Himself. There is not one day goes by that i don't listen to this choir. I can't thank God enough for all the blessings i have received from this choir over the past eleven years. Absolute spiritual bliss, Praise God, thank you Jesus!!!
This Sunday, my husband's (great big predominantly white evangelical Presbyterian) church is getting a new pastor and the choir is doing this song. We've blown the roof off of that church with this song twice (per request) in the past, and I can't tell you what an experience it is to sing it. I totally lost it both times--I cried and shook through most of it, it's so powerful. His church may not have a very demonstrative congregation, but the Holy Spirit is alive & well and quite active in our choir loft! Praise God!
Angola used to be the worst of the worst ! But the warden, who is a believer and follower of Jesus, has made a long-lasting impact on the facility and the inmates. Listened to an interview with him on Moody Radio and watched a documentary on the phenomenal difference his compassionate love has made in the lives of once condemned men. They now know where there eternal security lies, where there are no bars ! As this song so tenderly explains....
I'm a proud atheist but something about this song just moves me so much and makes me feel so much gratitude for the universe and our tiny but amazing existence in it.
It doesn't matter about the version, it's the song, the lyrics and the emotions of those singing and touched by the Lord through the Blessings of Music.
I LOVE the expressions of gratitude and praise on the faces of prisoners who have obviously come to Christ ... what stories we will hear in Eternity some day of how Jesus rescued us!
Thank You Holy Father : Holy Messiah - Thank You Father.xxxxx Love You Today Even Though Things Are Not Good With Me - I Feel That You Still Love Me And Are Working It Out For My Family And I.....Love You
If your position isn't coming from Love and Joy at all moments, then you are living an illusion. Love and Joy are your Primary Purpose, period!!! God is Great!
