I swear almost every salon on this show has sooooo much staff it's crazy how is that not the first thing to cut back on if you don't get enough clients??
Stylists have clients. If they leave they take their clients with them. Most salons don't pay their stylists. Their stylists pay the salon. Stylists generally work like artists. The salon gets a cut from what the stylists brings in. Or the stylist rents the chair and buys their product from the salon. Only low end salons pay their stylists a salary.
I think his wife was on verge of a nervous breakdown so He came to try and support her, But letting them get into debt like that was very short sighted
Its not down to just him to fix her debts and issues. Or to get a job just to prop her failing business If she wants to go it alone then leave her to it and what money he makes doing what he wants does not go to prop her up
@@dylanworthington1350it’s nice to support her, but he just hangs around doing nothing. He could get a broom and start cleaning instead of offering hugs.
I’ve watched every episode & series of Tabathas, beginning with the hair & beauty industry then merging in to helping other industries. This lady is amazing. Typical Aussie, love how she’s honest, direct and focused on every vision to bring businesses in to success. The amount of rubbish attitudes she had to juggle while sorting out every issue that correlated to businesses failing takes a really tough person to deal with those human emotional hurdles while bringing new life and a positive vision. No wonder her health became affected. Undisputed queen transforming failing businesses in to stories of success. Truly Inspiring woman!
She's SOOO Aussie..."... I HATE crying... Why don't you channel that into WORK!!". We CAN'T STAND sooky lalas.... Especially when women try the crying crap with another woman. I tell them " Baby... I ain't Oprah... your not getting a car!!!". When you have done wrong..OWN IT!!... I haven't seen this ONE ❤️👏👑🎊 .MORE PLEASE 👏🎊🎊🎊
She had a horrific childhood, her mother abused drugs and her house was always filled with her mums junkie friends all drugged up. I remember Tabatha mentioned something about prostitution in the household too. And this is how she developed a strong backbone.
Tabitha you are one amazing woman, the way you deal with every situation is next level and you definately deserve all the respect in the world! Anyone would be so lucky if Tabitha came and sorted out all the BS and other issues within their business! As a fellow Aussie she has really outdone any other professional in salons etc! She is amazing and love how she says exactly what she thinks and doesn't worry about people's crap! Bravo Tabitha!
@@bezzerwizzer6448 I am aware of that, obviously know she won't see comments on this re-upload! Just stating my opinion and as always there is always a smart ass who likes to try make people feel stupid for commenting and you win that award so bravo! Hope you feel better about yourself and there is a saying us Aussies use and it is DILLIGAF ! Round of applause for trying to be one of those annoying people who have to write rude comments to feel important!
I respect Tabatha, shes passionate about her career and firm when she needs to sort salons out. Very Similar to Gordon Ramsay, he comes across as quite gruff but he does genuinely care and is genuinly passionate about his career.
That salon interior looked like a temporarily set up trade fair booth we had back in the 1980s. Cheap material. How that would have cost half to three quarter of a million dollar Is beyond me. Also, I noticed that many salon owners go with quite huge spaces that require many staff. Why not settle for a more cozy, more intimate setting, no more than eight stations? Would be so much easier to manage, maintain and oversee. Also, the husband needed to get a job to provide for the family and to pay off some debts. He is unnecessarily hanging around, being of no use and therefore taking out money of the business urgently needed.
Would you see this the same way if it was the other way round? How many women gave up their studies or jobs to support their husbands to fulfill a carrer? If they decide as a couple to have a salon, so be it.
@rheiakae I think the point is what exactly does he bring to the salon, beyond keeping her from unaliving herself at work. When someone gets to that point in their work, it's well past time to pack it in.
@@Countryperson666 yes, but this is an other issue. How does it make her selfish? They made a wrong decision, true. And it was right for him to leave the salon.
@@rheiakae but men are usually the bigger providers for the family. Like it or not, it's how it is. Sometimes it causes resentment when their masculinity of providing is taken away. I think if he wasn't frightened for her, he probably wouldn't need to be there.
I don’t know if you know but these are all old episodes. That’s why it isn’t the best quality and it was sad when it ended but she wanted to do other things and I think she was over it from my recollection of an interview she did.
People dont want to admit that choices have consequences. Owning a business, you take the risk of losing it. Its just the facts. Doesnt matter the industry. Yet people promote small business and dont see the reality behind it. I think they took a huge leap with a too big salon. They probably made financially poor decisions too
As an entrepreneur, these shows help me recognize why we need coaches. We get overly attached to certain strategies and we resist change, to our detriment.
What I've learnt is, never start small businesses like these with borrowing 100% of the cash. Always have a healthy percentage to start with or most of it. Small business is too unstable these days.
The husband needs to find his own job and mind his own business or she should divorce him quickly. The salon owner needs to step up and do her job which is be a manager. Run away and but before he goes tell him to stop sponging off you. It's her business and taking over, I am not sure why husband give Tabathe the keys. He as no experience in the hairdressing business. Bye bye eye.
Thank you, I didn't know 😊 just stumbled upon this show and started right now. Already 3 minutes in and not surprised that they got a divorce. @@blakemrolfsensanchez547
I think what blows me away the most is, the owners are so hesitant to change things. "Our system was working" well obviously not or you wouldn't be on the show.
