My fav battle I ever had was in Medieval 1. I had 10 full stacks against the entire mongol invasion. The battle took 3 hours and I still remember when my general died how gutted I was. Battle still took another hour after that to conclude. I wont it by a hair. Was so much fun.

I just wished CA didn't seperate Troy from Pharaoh. Playing like an ancient epic with all the Mediterranean civilizations.

I wish they instead of starting with the Troy codebase, started with medieval 2 codebase, and then just improve on it until you can have 5x the amount of troops. The base of Medieval 2 (or hell even medieval 1) seems much better to me than troy or Pharaoh

I've seen cutting tests where bronze kopesh have de limbed horse femurs so im guessing thats why they are so effective over tue stone maces.

Honestly considering you’re fighting naked dudes, the archers aren’t anywhere near lethal enough. When I play atilla 1212ad I sometimes run entirely armies that are just archers with 2 units of shock cavalry. It works… very well. I tend to spill my armies into 3 categories. Siege armies, field armies and support armies. Field armies are mostly infantry and some cavalry (I play England, we used to fight on foot so my armies never have too much cav.) siege armies are mostly archers, a few units of heavy infantry and siege engines. Support armies are all archers. They’re supposed to work with siege and field armies.

AI can only see your hidden units if your entire army is hidden. Lethality is displayed in the tooltip of the damage stat.

btw Arch, you can turn off the screen blood splatter in the options menu if it starts to bother you.

I liked TW Empire and the horse artillery. I would always run 4-6 in a full stack, ride them out on the flanks and perform enfilade fire.

Notice CA has gotten quiet when they had woke workers and fired so many people after hyenas failure, who were all woke workers on that game and were fired. And now they started bring more positive dlc and updates for warhammer and pharaoh.

Dude you set the battle difficulty to Normal lol. Battles are longer on harder difficulties because the enemy doesn't rout right away.

Is there a mod to fix Pharaoh terrible battle?

Just play scourge of war remastered or ultimate general American revolution. This is not a very cinematic experience, I cannot see the men in battle and that chopping of a head of with a wrist movement seems too easy. Total war is literally GUI wars.
