It's so predictable, when you learn the tactics of the AI you will automatically take the best actions against it. With that knowledge everything becomes so repetitive and easy, at least with diplomacy. They could have had different people work on different factions to create ai personality for each faction, so that some use more bow troops, and have soldier on walls, while other nations use to charge out instead of being behind walls, to at least try to create variation in their behavior.

thrones is basically a standalone expansion for Attila, so u dont need Attila but its basically a expensive Attila dlc. Three Kingdoms is the next full release historical total war game, so new engine and completely different game with a much bigger team working on it.

JSparo You’ll easily get 40 hrs+ game time out of it. 1€ an hour is pretty decent by any standard. I reckon it’s you that doesn’t know the value of money.

And 1€ per hour is quite a lot. I have more than 400 hours on Napoleon which I paid 10€.

JSparo You don’t have to buy it and you haven’t played it yet. You might enjoy it. It’s certainly not the same game. Biggest map yet, updated battle mechanics, tiered settlements, bigger battle maps, more variety and it’s getting plenty of video coverage to make up your mind on it. Same game engine yes, not same game. They’ve announced 3 Kingdoms with a new engine so wait for that, it’s not far off. They were never going to use a new engine for this were they? As for the cost, it’s not bad. I’ve spent hours on good yet cheaper games, but also spent hours slotting coins in machines to play Street Fighter or payed exorbitant amounts for worse games plus extra maps, weapon packs etc. At least you know what you’re getting and know the value before you buy. I love Napoleon too, though that was far more limited and imperfect than this. An improved Empire but not by much, and much smaller scale.

warhammer 2 has already come out about a year ago.

Giorgi Gagnidze But, it isn't about two nations. It's about a lot of nations like West Seaxe, Mierce, Northymbre, East Engle, the Five Boroughs, Dàl Rìada, Pictland, Meath and so much more. This game is indeed very interesting and, in my opinion, an interesting look into where Total War is headed.

If we look so Russia was divided into Vladimir-Suzdal, moskovia, novgorod Georgia into kingdoms of kartli, kartvelians, Kakheti, Abkhazeti, Hereti. Britain into those u mentioned. Almost All are the same nation...

Giorgi Gagnidze You have just defeated your own point. telling CA to do history on your specific nation and claiming that another's is less interesting because it is 1-2 nations (in the modern times) in it is not a good thing to do. What you have just shown that nations that are one today, were many ages ago.

U know that I didn't say to make game about that nation. But I wanted it to be accurate and playable. I ask to understand me. CA made 2 medieval total wars and only strong christian orthodox kingdom in middle east region except Bizantium in 12-13th centuries was Georgia, but there is no such faction in game. On the other hand in every game there is armenia with their oriental orthodoxy who just invented and stole their history from others.

Boromir Not true is it. This is a new map. Big ‘nall. New settlements maps, tiers like Med2 in the bigger sieges. The battle mechanics are updated. And it’s not a full title. It’s cheap as chips for what you’re getting. They’re not going to roll out a new game engine on this are they? This is obviously a filler ‘till 3 kingdoms. How can you compare Battlefield to this? Completely different, which since Battlefield 3 most sensible people couldn’t give a fig about, especially when you’re talking about value for money. Aye, there’s improvements need doing and I miss the TW’s of the past and the best elements they’ve chopped out but honestly, nobody expected CA to revolutionise their titles with this one. Besides you can still play the older games they have endless replay potential, and mods. Rome 2 is much improved and now probably the most playable title since Shogun 2, not perfect but nay bad. Warhammer 2 is alright, although certainly not as immersive as most previous titles. CA do ok, bit lazy sometimes but christ, they still make some good games. Far better than a lot of others. @Alex, some people just don’t know they’re born. I used to have to wait half hour to load Elite via cassette on a BBC model B.

I really hope too. Just imagine a Victoria Total War with the whole World as map. You could colonize countries as an european power or fight tribals warfare in Africa dealing with this foreign treat. The gameplay of both campaign and battles would be something unique in the license, this is what Total War needs to do after Three Kingdoms.

To each their own. I played the original Medieval Total War when it came out back in 2002 and I fell in love with the Total war series. I've bought every game they have made since then. Medieval Total War 2 came out in 2006 dude that was 12 years ago! I think a lot of people agrees me that it's been long enough.

TheGoodenPlenty well it’s more so about the almost hero like characters, Warhammer lite, as in Warhammer without the fantasy bits, no magic, no eleven or any of that. I mean it seems as though China prefers we know about the Romance of the Three Kingdoms than the real History of the Three Kingdoms. So what’s the best way to sell in China? Do it about the Romance where, in those stories, one guy can take out 100. Unless they did that to outline the main dudes in the game but..they could have done so many more if they had that in mind.

Yeah they are okay, but I still wish for a descent portrait for the generals, like in the Crusader Kings 2 were you felt a connection with your character and the nation you ruled over because the ruler actually looked human. Just my personal opinion though. Crusader kings 2 style family tree with courts and personality trait and events would've been amazing! Incest is winchest ! Game of thrones style ^^
