The funny thing is, they are stereotypically depicted using the same old kind of weapons that don't actually make sense. Mechanically. They should be using pole arms, they have greater leverage because of their physical strength and it gives them the reach advantage.

@@slickyblicky1711 Don't get your hopes up. The WH3 siege weapons have animals pulling them around, but they didn't add that to the WH1/2 ones.

They said they are updating old races but dunno. Empire and greenskins literally wear Armor that stretches with their skin. It's horrible.

I'm glad someone else picked up on that.

Maybe this is something they will patch in later.

I think this is one of those points of diversion that we're gonna have to live with. Implementing it in such a way that's justifiable to us filthy casuals who aren't that deep into the lore would be difficult without making an entire deal of it, by which point it becomes tedious. Also, one can always just RP that the Skaven captured are the ones first in line to be sacrificed or worked to death. I doubt we'll be able to track which labour that was caught in which battle will be sent where, so it's not like the game will contradict that. :)

Not only skaven, I readed that any dorf that gets enslaved by his nice mannered cousins also meets the same fate.

@@sercravenmohead3631 not even that, but it seems that the CD from a balancing point are way stronger than the Dawi. with all the new abilities, the roster and beeing able to use magic normal dwarfs are really obsolete. why should i play Dawi then when i can have stubborn dwarfs that can even use magic, can fly, and have deamons and horrible warmashines.and also all the new mechanics in campagin makes the dawi, even after having an update, pretty boring

Hopefully CA will realize the Dawi need some upgrades to compete. There has been a video or two from youtubers about how they might be improved, with examples of reworking the underway to be a campaign mechanic, adding in rune guardians, dragon/daemon slayers, major Karaks having two layers of siege defense, and most importantly introducing the thunderbarge. The last one I feel is the most necessary because canons lose value fast if they are on the low ground, which sometimes we're stuck with.

There is a mod that adds caravans to empire and dwarfs fyi!! Love it

Honestly a blast. These make you do battle with some pretty whacky armies, and it breaks the monotomy a lot, especially as you get some REALLY good stuff from them.

Y’all need to check out the [Marienburg, the Merchant Empire] mod; best, most unique mod there is that also utilizes the caravan function. 😁

It is nice but hopefully Cathay gets something to their faction mechanics when their DLC comes around. Compass really isn't cutting it and harmony stops being worth managing after the first few turns.

Frankly there should be more factions doing something to this regard. Ya I get "trading" is pretty much this but frankly the empire and dwarfs often send out huge caravans all over the place so it make sense that it be another unique way for them to earn money and gear. Also it would enable evil/destructive factions to hinder them and also gain some loot.

One of the reasons I'm most excited about this. I finally get to play Grimgor again, it didn't feel right playing him - just like it didn't feel right playing Ungrim or Thorgrim - in Immortal Empires without the Chaos Dwarfs.

To be fair; most of the Dawi-Kharr empire is empty wasteland. They mostly live in Zharr-Nagrund, a handful of other cities and some scattered outposts. The wasteland is also contested with countless Greenskin tribes, as well as Ogres, Skaven and other things. The Dark Lands aren't the most hospitable of places - even for Chaos Dwarfs! But yes, they were horribly shafted in the End Times.

Chorfs were done dirty long before the dumpster fire that was the End Times. GW has been mostly pretending that they don't exist for years now - which is arguably the worst fate they could be doomed to. I'm hoping that with the uptick in interest and popularity, GW will smell enough money to bring chorfs back into the tabletop fold.

Everything east from the Empire was. Or west, to be honest... dont even mention how badly the Lizardmen were handled.

In Dark Elves menu they are called slaves, so...

I think back in warhammer 1 if you get enough of units walking together in a March. They would actually chant their respective verse. Now didn’t happen all the time. But when it did it was cool.

Aesthetic? Definitely. Practical? Not really. Unless draz can get a regen item, that thing is gonna' be a serious target for archers considering the AI love shooting big entities. You'll have to baby sit him in micro while your army closes in on heavy enemy range factions.

Professionalism always make evil characters a lot better, in no small part because it usualy make them more dangerous.

Some of the old races might need to finally get there "monster unit". since almost every faction now has the one monster unit, except for dwarfs ( can be fixed with either thunderbarge or Golem) Empire (unless you count the steam tank) and bretonnia (which is probably the hardest to figure out how to get a monster unit in that unit list)

@@SplitGhostsword Dwarfs should get everything they have in lore and other Warhammer media. And they do have literally only one monster unit but only one. Their crazier engineer units (not only the Thunderbarge but it + Juggernauts, War Balloons and more), their runic units (Rune Golems, but also Rune Guardians and Shard Dragons...which are their only true monsters and Rune Guardians and Golems are constructs which only count as monsters for gameplay reasons), the rest of the Slayer Cult (Dragon and Daemon Slayers as well as Doomseekers). Dunno what to add in more honestly.

The orcs will be able to, they’re pretty strong and don’t have unit caps. When chaos dwarfs come out, I’m gonna play grimgor first.

Well they are using borderline Victorian Era technology, so they better be OP.

If you’re referring to the High Elves that’s easily the best faction if not then top 3, they’ll be fine and honestly every faction doesn’t need to be versatile. Everything should have strengths and weaknesses, some factions should be objectively better to play which makes it fun to come up with strategies to win against overwhelming odds.

@@sercravenmohead3631 I mean sure Sisters spam or 20 mages can deal with most anything but I don't think normal AI armies of Archers, Spearmen and Reavers are going to stand much of a chance, late-game comps either.

@@brianlevor6295 Well, not only that but their roster is really solid. Excellent cavalry with great infantry, plenty of lores of magic and a variety of dragons to use. They have a check mark at every tier, even the low tier high elf armies are great for holding the line with archers scoring decent kills. Reavers are great light cav and the tiranoc chariots are nothing to scoff out. They get the job done better than most low tier armies across the board and you can’t go wrong with their lord options and LL’s, they are perfectly viable in each tier which makes them the best in my opinion. If you go through the tech tree and level up even your low tier units they can still be a reliable option to hold the enemy in place for your specialized elite units to rack up all the kills. I don’t even think I need to mention how good the Alarielle campaign is when you get buffs for holding Ulthuan and access to Wood Elf units.. I’ll just go ahead and say they are the best Order faction and with the intrigue system you can’t go wrong.

That Destroyer looks like another Elemental Bear not worthy its price and tier.

They were using it to roll through units instead of attacking. Combat animations only play when a unit is in melee.

@@sceligator In that case it should run cosmetically during charge just for that unit, since it can feasibly do both at the same time

Imo all the dwarves need is better growth. Their units and economy are great but they are just too slow to get moving.

Dwarves are great at really everything except cavalry as it should be, these dawi sucks takes are absolutely mind numbing stupidity. 95% of the player base has no idea how to even play the game well and then complains about balance.

They lack a 4th legendary lord and it seems the train mechanic is missing, a critical aspect of tabletop
