Shit man I hope you beat it dispite the claim that it's incurable, I have a friend that was also diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at the age of 15 he was only given until 17 maximum to live and he's been cancer free since his 18th birthday (now 20) I hope your story turns out more like my friends. We all have to deal with the cards we've been delt but I have a firm belief that we all have an extra ace hidden up our sleeves.

Your immune system takes a hit every time, sometimes to the point where it's barely there. It's extremely straining on the patient.

DubQWST I went to my doctor because of a lump that was kind of numb. I ignored it for some time and thought it was nothing, but watching his video where he said ‘don’t be stupid get yourself checked’ i did just that. 3 days later they called me from the hospital and said that they suspected that the lump was cancerous. Turned out it was.

my mother is a cancer survivor and she just got surgery a week ago and they got rid of it but it didnt really effect us. if you look at life in a negative way when someone has cancer in your family then it will obviously effect. just live your life and do what you did before that person was diagnosed with cancer. my mother was the same way as well. she only took off work for 2-3 days after chemotherapy and then went back to work every time and was still working with cancer. she went out and did every thing she did before she was diagnosed. nothing really changed in our family at all

There's so many variables in stage 4 cancer, such as origin of the cancer, extent of the spread, location of the spread, accuracy of diagnosis, age of the patient, that it's impossible to make a blanket statement like "stage 4 is almost certain death". Plenty of people get diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and go on to live full lives

It's probably death for MOST people. It's just that TB has had a lot of luck both mentally and physically. Like he himself said he found a treatment that works for him, and he mentally stays in the fight through the help of his wife, his pets. And I don't think the average American especially without Obamacare could even afford the treatments. A lot of people who have stage-4 might not be so fortunate in that regard.

dandelions it’s different for the different types of cancer- but often it’s pain in a localized area, new and heavy onset of headaches/fatigue/exhaustion, rapid weight loss or gain, change in vowel habits, discoloration of skin, itchiness or lumps of the breasts. It’s hard to generalize the symptoms because it’s unique person to person, but those are the most common objective ones.

Sometimes it's good to get an outside point of view, especially in the medical field. Burnout is a dangerous thing not just for yourself but for your patients. The good thing is that sometimes all it takes is one person to put everything back into perspective and remind you why you do what you do.

I went to CoxCon 2016 in England, Telford. TB was there that year, I forget how bad his cancer was during this time. But the point I’m making is that he had just finished a panel with his wife and then the next panel would start 30mins afterwards. During this time they would host in a different area the previous panel to do a meet and greet. I left the panel early to get in line early, many other people had this same idea. I waited about over an hour, totally worth every minute of waiting. We spoke briefly I didn’t want to hold people behind up, when leaving that room... the amount of people waiting in line to see him... it was absolutely massive. I’d have to say about 80% of the attendees where waiting in line, it was crazy. So fast forward a good 3 hours later, people where still in line. I say to my friend “they can’t all be still be waiting for TB” soon as I said that, staff cut a section of the line and said they was sorry but they have to let him go. Not one person was upset or making a noise over it they all understood which was awesome. The next day at the convention, me and my friend head out I to the town centre to get some dinner, we see a small line and a table. Lord behold it was TB, sat there meeting fans privately that didn’t get the chance to go meet him the day before. me and my friend come back from the town centre from getting food (about 1/2 hours later) TB, still sat there talking to fans. That’s the one thing I remember crystal clear about my experience that weekend. Absolute amazing man.

I was diagnosed with the same thing back in 2015 and was in a similar position to you. I was mostly stuck in the house or in bed for that year. For me it slowly got better through help with a specialist doctor and nowadays it's basically non existent. I know that I was quite lucky and the same situation may not be for everyone but slowly making progress in what I could do over weeks and months was great even if it was little things like being able to walk around the house and get my own food etc. I hope you can get better and be able to go back to doing everything you enjoyed doing before you were diagnosed even if it does take time.

Look up the CoxCon incident if you are curious, or the time he stated a certain portion of his audience isn't welcome as they didn't vote for his favorite candidate in the 2016 election. He has also completely disabled commenting on his youtube channel. Like I said he's a great guy, he makes great content and presents very solid, logical reasoning. His lack of desire to engage in debate and develop a close knit community is the only element in his character that I simply can't get past to like him as a person, even if I do like his content.

I dont think any of us can draw accurate conclusions without consulting with his doctors.

Its entirely true. The progression of cancer in general is very hard to predict, and is affected very heavily by psychosomatic factors. We dont even know the current state of the illness properly, so there is no way to make accurate predictions, considering even if we did, we wouldnt be able to make them with any meaningful degree of accuracy.

More importantly, he made sure we all knew as well, to not repeat that mistake. RIP Totalbiscuit, always looking out for us by providing the best info to make good decisions.

He didn't fail at anything. It's incredibly rare for someone so young to develop colon cancer. I'm an RN. We are taught to warn people 50+ about colon cancer. Doctors wouldn't even consider it until other things are ruled out. However, you should still pursue the symptoms and see a doctor.

He pretty much admits to and accepts failing in the video

It's like he said - "It was embarrassing and I didn't think it would be anything serious". But isn't that just the problem though? It might be very rare, but there were signs, and nobody wants to believe that sort of thing will happen to them or a loved one. Unfortunately cancer doesn't give a damn. He said it himself, hindsight is 20/20, and when your life is on a timer you realize how stupid your excuses were for not checking.

Could you also tell me more about Ulcerative Colitis? It was suggested to me that I had it several years ago after seeing a Gastrinterologist before he left that practice and i haven't had a GI visit since.
