The “you know where you are, your in the jungle baby” came from when axl an 1 of the other band mates were in new york city and they only had money for 2 cokes sittin on the sidewalk burnin up in the heat an a homeless man came out of a dumpster an said “ you know where you are, your in the jungle baby your gonna die” an the song is about how harsh the city life is.

Okay in 2016 Brian Johnson from AC/DC had to leave the band because of hearing problems. Axl Rose filled in for Brian Johnson while he was getting his ears fixed. At same time Axl Rose did double duty with AC/ DC and Guns and Roses. AC/DC had to reschedule their concert dates in 2016 because they had to cancel their remaining concert dates 2 till they could find a replacement for Brian Johnson which became Axl Rose. Axl Rose finished off the rest of the concert with AC DC. coming up in the next year slightly delayed because of covid-19, ACDC will be back together with Brian Johnson with a new album. One of the greatest bands of the late 80s early.90s

They formed in 1985 as the famous original line-up and in 1987 they released their debut album Appetite for Destruction. They had some line up changes in the early 90s and released another 2 albums. The band only had 3 of the original members by 1991. Eventually around 1996 the other 2 members(Slash and Duff McKagan) left the band and formed their own solo projects. Axl carried the name Guns N Roses and started up with a completely new line-up. In 2008 Axl released the Album Chinese Democracy. Eventually in 2016 Axl, Slash, and Duff McKagan finally got back together. Axl never left Guns N Roses for AC/DC but he replaced Brian Johnson at Coachella for a few shows because Brian Johnson had some kind of hearing issues. Now they play shows till this day. But people have still been waiting on all 5 of the original line-up to return and that includes Izzy Stradlin(Rhythm guitar) and Steven Adler(Drummer).

I love watching the younger generation reacting to rock and metal from when I was the younger generation. I feel very lucky to have been a teenager in the 80s, when music was actually performed by a BAND! PS - yall gotta check out Zombie by The Cranberries, then watch the cover by Bad Wolves. He didn’t leave GNR. Axl is close friends with meme era of AC/DC so when their lead singer couldn’t tour bc of health issues Axl helped out so they wouldn’t have to cancel the tour. So he didn’t join them he just filled in to help out

Just to clear it up for you, Axl never left GnR. AC/DC was on tour when their lead singer, Brian Johnson, who had been having hearing problems, told then that he couldn't go on with the tour. They were thinking of cancelling since they didn't think they could find an acceptable fill-in for the rest of the dates. Then Axl called and volunteered to help them finish the tour so they wouldn't have to cancel and disappoint their fans. They didn't really know him, but they got together and it worked out great. So he never left GnR, just went on tour with AC/DC to help them out. And Brian is back in the studio with AC/DC.

I’m 19 an I love GNR they are my favorite band of all time. They started in 1985. They are a split up band but they do come together once in a while to perform live. They split original drummer Steven Adler do to drugs an the rest split do to conflict. But they are awesome

Axl went to ACDC to replace Brian Johnson for a few dates on a tour that they postponed because of an audition problem on Brian. Guns N' Roses didn't have tour dates in that period of time. After those concerts, Axl came back to Guns N'Roses, and continued a tour with the guitarist and bassist from the original lineup of 1985.

They’ve been on tour for the last few years once they got back together. I saw them in Maryland when they first started back they were so good. Axl’s voice was all the way there.

I want to commend you young people for exploring this music, you guy's keep rockin. The mid and late 80's were great, and early to mid 90's.

Slash (guitarist) left because him and axl rose (singer) where having a bit of difficulties and weren’t really seeing eye to eye,but Slash has returned after many years,Steven Adler (drummer) was kicked out because of drug addiction and I believe Duff McKagan (bass player) I believe is still playing with them and I think they have a new drummer 💯 concerts will be back after covid 🔥🔥🔥

They came out in the ‘80s and yes, most of the band is still doing concerts. Freshly reunited since the ‘90s when they broke up but they’re back now. Yes, Axl Rose was AC/DC’s signer for a while because Bryan Johnson was almost deaf. I highly recommend “Alice In Chains - Would?” They dope as fuck and some of the best vocals in Rock.

They had the most profitable tour in the world past bunch of years, starting up again in 2021 in europe. Axl filled in for Brian Johnson during a tour break for Gun n' Roses as singer of ACDC, he helped complete a contract that Brian was not medically able to due to hearing problems, Axl did a great job at those shows. The drummer Stephan Addler was fired from the band around 1989/90 for drug problems, he is still around and has done some guest appearances with the latest incarnation of the band on its "Not in this Lifetime " tour, he had a stroke in the 90s due to excessive drug and alcohol abuse so he slurs words and a few other side effects, he apparently broke out of rehab a record 21(or some other strange number) times in a single month. The last studio album Chinese Democracy, was met with low sales for a group this size, but it was critically praised as a good album. For my two cents, Chinese Democracy is unlike the rest of the catalogue for the band, due to only remaining original member being the singer. It is however a great album filled with exceptional artists and really great songs, Axl Rose is a Force of nature on studio Vocals, you can dislike him, but you have to admit to his talent as a singer and a song writer. The album does suffer in some ways from over production imo, but so has everything since the second release, to get a idea of the difference check out Shacklers Revenge, Better, This I love, There was a time, or Madagascar. Then compare them with a Use your illusions Tracks like "Estranged, Double Talking Jive, locomotive. You will see the differences but also that the songwriting is in the same style.

G&R broke up when Axel freaked out in 93. They got back together a few times but never stuck. Axel went to fill in for the lead singer of AC/DC when their lead singer had surgery for his hearing. They went through several drummers during their time together. They are a smash up of two groups from LA, LA Guns and Hollywood Roses.

My fav all time band..when they debuted on head bangers ball..the only time slot they would play it...I had just got off work...and gnr were a perfect match for that time in my life..I went and bought the cassette..CDs weren't around then..the very next morning...I fell in love with all their songs...best concert I've ever seen...and I've seen a lot of the greatest rock bands out there. No one went to A.C. D.C. Axl did help A.C. D.C. when the lead singer could not finish the tour back in 2019. The drummer: Steven Adler was the first of the, "Original Lineup", to leave back in 1990. The band fired him because, ironically enough, Steven was fired for doing to much Heroine. Mr. Brownstone explains the Heroine abuse. Beautifull disfunction!

me and 3 friends smoked a joint with the drummer steven adler (the drummer) back in the 90's after their concert, met slash in the elevator. adler had a stroke and don't really play much anymore. they were the opening act that night for Motley Crue. it was an awesome show. had a shirt air brushed in panama city beach that had a jungle on the back and on the front had a dude passed out with booze bottles all around, it said on the back welcome to the jungle and on the front said i had fun and games panama city beach 87 or 89.

Brian Johnson and AC/DC had put out a new album called Rock Or Bust and scheldued a tour. Brian Johnson was told by his dr. he had severe hearing loss and if he did the tour he could completely lise his hearing. AC/ DC would have to refund all ticket sales or find a guest singer. Axl Rose being an AC/DC fan stepped in to help out while doing a Guns N Roses reunion tour. Musch respect Axl!!!

They still tour! Slash! Axl! Duff! Once in a while Steven Adler is there to do one or two songs. Izzy will not appear. Currently playing in the East coast and lower US until November 2021!

For the under-30 crowd, this was the theme song of the Dirty Harry movie, Dead Pool, from 1988. The song came out in 1987. It was G&Rs first tune ever used in a movie. When I saw the movie back then, I was amazed to hear it in the beginning credits. Of course, it fit the movie, and Dirty Harry, perfectly.

They came out in January of 1988, I just had my oldest daughter and didn't get to go to the Appetite for Destruction concert. Believe me I cried😭😭😭. He left GnR in the early 2000s, but they hired a new singer, Scott Weiland and formed the group Velvet Revolver. They opened for Alice in Chains back I 2007 in B'ham, AL, I did get to go to that concert it was fantastic. ✌💜🎶

They still play. Limited shows as they're much much older, but still worth the buy. Saw them in Miami. Few years back and at his age he went three hours straight. No break ..

Ok so guns started in mid 80s. Their debut album was APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION (1987) which is considered one of the best debut rock records hands down...Axl rose never left for ACDC he just helped them out because they didn't have a singer for a bit. Slash is the legendary guitarist for GnR.

You should check out their concert from the Ritz, filmed in 1988 (I think). You should be able to find it on RU-vid. The drummer is Steven Adler. He was fired for drug use in the late 90s. Axl was (temporally) the singer for AC/DC, but it wasn’t a permanent thing. Guns has been through A LOT of changes into the lineup from the 1980s, whereas Axl was the only member of the classic lineup who was in the band. Egos, money, power, etc. all played roles in the split. Since then, Slash and Duff have rejoined, and Steven Adler has jammed with them a few times. I saw them back in 2016 in Chicago at Soldier Stadium. GREAT SHOW- over three hours long, and they started on time (inside joke for GNR fans). 😊

Mercury was one of axl's inspirations. Axl was asked how it feels to be considered one of the best technical singers ever..he answered .idk .ask Freddy Mercury ...and axl just subbed for ac/dc. Axl has never left gnr..he is gnr. Ever other member of gnr was replaced at one time... but axl has always been gnr. He owns it.
