@@BlackMage969 i build houses nice cause i like the way they look with some npcs in them. I also build a house in hell that is as small as i can get it made out of dirt and flesh blocks special for the zoologist and angler. We are not the same.
the single best part about flesh blocks is that Fargo's allows you to craft them out of captured NPCs in a meat grinder, so you can literally put the angler in a house made of his own flesh.
Yep! Like, I learned that lesion walls and crimson scab walls painted gray can make for some really nice looking stone textures while making this video. If you’re not being a dingus like me, you can mix and match and use paints in creative ways to make even the wackiest tiles and sets look presentable
I'd argue that lesion blocks and furniture are _significantly_ worse than flesh blocks. At least the flesh in the game looks somewhat healthy; lesion blocks legit make your builds look like they're partially made of rotting scar tissue.
I once made a rotting, giant zombie hand in my corruption using lesion blocks, it looked pretty on topic with the thing i wanted to do, so... i think there's something for every one of these sets
You say the balloon house is for those with an irrational fear of sharp corners and blunt force trauma, but I have an irrational fear of baloons. So no one wins here.
@@aggressivebungee to built a rectangle one, it might take a massive amount of time and effort. I must possess more advanced knowledge of the architect
Remember, squares are rectangles and but rectangles aren’t squares. Rectangles are also pure evil and are the cause of all human suffering, so I wouldn’t trust them They do taste pretty good though
@@bcefkm Well, you asked for it. But it's not pleasant (But I bet you already guessed that). The apperance of the Party Girl is heavily based on the character Pinkie Pie from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. There is an infamous fanfiction in which this very cheerful character kidnaps another one, brings her to her basement, and disembowels her. In fact, if you throw the Party Girl into shimmer, her new apperance closely resembles the character that gets disemboweled.
Cactus blocks look bussin with sandstone blocks Imo I always use it to make my NPC houses in the desert. Also the vibrat color makes it look somewhat appealing, like a source full of water in the middle of the desert.
Friendly reminder, you can turn spawns off in journey mode (reffering to the text on the silly balloon section) And make a character with all research through editors like terrasavr
Oh I know journey mode exists, but like, whatever methods I use to cheat in the items items I need just breaks when I try to do it for a journey character I think my terraria is irreversibly busted
Thank you bungee, after watching this video i have transform my wooden box house into a wooden box house... with 2 blocks of glass i have never seen any build truly more beautiful than that i might even think of building a wooden box with 4 blocks of glass
Not gonna lie, I was expecting this to talk about the fact that "Approved" housings can look really really trippy. and the fact that you can make them out of Dungeon Spikes
Terraria is the only game that can make you ask, "is this a furniture resource?" And then you friend will look at you like you're mentally insane since you're staring at the angler
Fun flavored video. I too wanted to spice things up for my forest build, at first I was going to make a living tree hotel; which I've done in every play through. In this particular run, I decided to go for a Sakura forest base. All that is needed is living wood staff and living leaf staff, and an endless supply of paint (paint sprayer is helpful here). Its nearly completed and I can move on to the next horror show base.
keep in mind that even thought they might not be pleasant as house materials or furniture, they are used extensively in a lot of natural terrain like builds, blockmixing, etc. Terraria has a lot of unlikely blocks that make great utility for builds in those categories.
One time I made a 2_fort out of flesh and skeletons and placed a pit in between where skeletons and blood zombies battled endlessly in a blood tainted arena. It had a marble loft above with fountains of nectar and a lava lamp.
I did a run where very early on, I found a slime statue and a dart trap quite close to spawn. So I rigged it up and farmed slimes pretty much as the first thing I did. Once I got a solidifier, I started making every single house out of my infinite supply of slime blocks, and it actually looked pretty good. Though, one detail that every slime house MUST have.... is using the magic water dropper to make the walls drip.
I like to think that the canonical personality of the player character is somewhere between unhinged barbarian, or literal raccoon Either way, they would be willing to eat rotten meat with no hangups
@@love_and_chaos_uwu4267 No. The golems and elementals are granite that have been animated, but even that isn't really alive, just telepathically puppeted.
glass stuff looks nice for a green house. baloon blocks are for hot air baloons, or large balloons. flesh blocks could be used for a weird horror theme.
I was playing with a friend one time and I discovered that flesh blocks existed and while he was out mining I changed all our houses to flesh blocks. He doesn't lete build houses anymore.
That Crimson House is so gross it blends with the overall Crimson aesthetic. It should be in the base game in the way Ruined Underground Houses are, but for the Crimson biome
I always forget you haven’t even broken 100k subscribers yet, I get reminded of that every time you post, i’ve been watching for 3 years now and every single one of your videos have been hilarious to me, I always get excited when you post, it’s a shame quality videos take so long tho.
Yeeeeah, lots of shenanigans happening irl. I am hoping to increase the frequency of uploads but we’ll see how that goes. I’m super happy to hear you’ve stuck around this long!
I would like to extend an honorable mention to the sky houses of the sky islands, because unless you have wings... How are you gonna get down from there without wings?
I swear, starting to mess with paint does so much for your builds, since you get ~ 30 times the number of options for what you can do, even if some of them are minor due to the paint not taking well. Spider blocks might be able to be a fishnet with a blue based paint if it takes. The glass house I could see being a reality TV show if the culture around what is allowed on TV was different. Cactus furniture I could see doing pretty well with a brown paint, depending how well it takes. Bubble background wall + paint could be used to imply 3d, with the same texture but having that sharp line, just paint it the same colour and use the remaining difference to differentiate the layers. Tl;dr I suppose would be that paint is insanely stronk for decorating and makes the blocks it works well on things you focus more on texture than on colouration.
I had no idea that spider set existed, as a lover of all things creepy-crawly that is actually rad and I will totally use that in the future! I'm with ya on the cactus house though, noooo thanks.....
interestingly enough the Terraria spiders are the only ones that I'm not paranoically scared of, but still thank you a lot for looking out for my fellow arachnophobic people in the beginning segment
I actually made a box house out of flesh on the 3DS version because I didn’t have enough space for more npc’s Before you ask, yes, I put the angler in it Also, I was around 10 at the time
