Hopes for Season 2 - Batman for Season 2 starts facing the most resistance and trouble he has had up to that point as a consequence of him making his presence and intentions more obvious to Thorne. Mainly curious to see how this incarnation of Batman will handle and would struggle Gotham's corruption actively hunt him down that isn't just a special task force. - (Works for Season 3 aswell) Thorne starts hiring mercenaries and wackos outside of Gotham City out of desperation to get rid of or distract Batman, mainly for characters like Lord Death, Bane (and his crew), KGBeast (but revised to not be related to the KGB somehow), Kabuki Twins (reimagined as japanese assassins instead of Pengiun's goons), and Ma Parker to appear. These are characters who don't originate from Gotham but are Batman rogues that I would prefer seeing over other hero's villians. - Episode on why mentally breaking bad people down isn't the best course of justice (in the most insane way), where King Tut starts some Egyptian cult or crime circle somehow thanks to his insane "King Tut" persona 2 Villians I hope to see in Season 2 1. Eraser since the niche and gimmic of erasing other people's crimes and evidence is interesting and it would be cool to see Batman, Detective Montoya, and Barbra Gordon have to piece together evidence to convict some criminal for a crime, while also hunting down the Eraser. 2. Bookworm would be cool to bring back, but instead of stealing books Bookworm is reimagined as some smug snotty man who gets away with crimes and such with legal loopholes, but it may end up being too similar to "Kiss Catwoman."

I know they said they weren't going to have other heroes in this show, but I think it would be neat if they included the Spectre.

Definitely enjoy the first season and hope to see more! Who knows what they're going to give us coming up? Personally, I wouldn't mind a nice mystery / horror if they did it with poison ivy!❤Perhaps Invasion of the body snatchers referenced? Also... MAN BAT!!!! Make it a science gone wrong case!!!

For an obscure rough that could appear in season 2, I would really like The Eraser to appear.

Gotta love seeing Babs use the double-head coin. Started worrying when she gave it back to Two-Face though. Still surprised nothing came of it. Hope it returns later on, even as a tragic keepsake in Barbara's pocket. I wonder who that orderly with the pig was. Lazlo Valentin? Forgot to mention this in the previous podcast eps, but Diedrich Bader sure succeeded in not sounding like his beloved Brave and the Bold Batman while playing Harvey Dent/Two-Face. Appreciate how Babs is now more acclimated to Batman appearing out of nowhere, though she still needs to learn about his vanishing acts. Now, what does Klondike5-0127 mean as a possible reference? (And then there's mention of a blue light window signal. I wanna know if that too is a reference.) And I like seeing Alfred sounding deliberately different when the Batcall occurred. Flass sure is the head of F&B, haha. Once more, Harvey flips a car forcefully. Just like in The Dark Knight. Got surprised when Batman let two goons hit each other when he dodged between them in one scene. Should that be an indirect kill? And then there's his use of a firearm. Guess this iteration sure is truly willing to use them at emergencies. ...At least this Harvey got closure (unlike the DCAU's) and died saving a good person's life (unlike The Dark Knight's). Still, shame this ep wasn't one were even the enemy lost enough. Was expecting Thorne and especially Mayor Jessop to be collateral casualties somehow... will see how Season 2 does things, even if we may wait two or three years due to production just starting out of this writing. *"Why, gorram, not again!!!"* That's basically how I feel about that stinger scene, in very much the same way The Batman 2022 did things in its finale. However, the credits not showing off any "Created By" mention, let alone voice actor, of the guy is quite a wise choice, in case really isn't *you-know-who.* Plus, so far as I can see, at least he's no Jared Leto/S----de Squad Isekai pretty boy iteration via that shaded peek. (And fingers crossed he's actually a loyal goon of the ever elusive and recovering Harley Quinn; her loyal dragon.) Caped Crusader doesn't need a tie-in comic that connects to the lore please. It's already a hassle, trying to catch up with MAwS' and X-Men '97's. In short, the first season, by gar, is a 7/10. Would have been 8/10, were it not for the 10 ep run, lack of a heroic end, and of course the stinger. However, the score may change as the show goes on; who knows if certain Season 2 onwards sequel stories, retcons, and revelations will make otherwise decently good eps into GREATER MEISTERWORKS. The show has to end first (and by end, I mean it better not get cancelled and/or cut short not unlike The Spectacular Spider-Man, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and especially Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Beware the Batman all over again) so to give true final judgment though. Well, time to restart the Teen Titans/The Batman 2004 and Batman: The Brave and the Bold binge. Addendum for Season 2 and onwards: Minor rogues: The Threatening Trio from The Batman Adventures and Gotham Adventures tie-in comics for the DCAU. Also, the Maronis and Falcones, in case the Thornes firmly fall... who knows if CC may do a slightly better long Halloween than the Tomorrowverse's liberties-laden take. - Major rogues: For males, Sportsmaster, particularly as a nod to baseball still being a big thing during the Great Depression/WW2 era, and also a Jason Todd-style Red Hood who may actually be Jean-Paul Valley. For females, an emigrating Curaré and a far more intriguing Red Claw with an Anarky feel. - Heroes, if suddenly possible despite creator promises: The Spectre, of course! If not, then Green Lantern Alan Scott. - Good folks: Carrie Kelley getting adopted, even if initially for good Wayne PR. Maybe a Simon Trent-esque aspiring actor based on good old Kevin Conroy, complete with understudies/pals/co-stars (possibly even a lover, I'm just saying?) voiced by Rino Romano, Diedrich Bader, Bruce Greenwood, Roger Craig Smith, and/or Will Friedle. Oh, and I'm fine if not one alien shows up. Sorry, potential Jim Corrigan replacement John Jones.

I’d like to see WWII happen. Which could lead to a whole bunch of stuff. 1) Men of fighting age going to war and leaving the city to the mobsters, which would mean Batman has to work overtime 2) Refugees from Europe, including a German Scientist named Viktor Fries and his sickly wife. 3) the bad no no German spy rings that would spring up, forcing Batman wo work more closely with the government. Might even trigger the appearance of a certain squad led by Amanda Waller 4) the robins, at the very least, living in Bruce’s mansion 5) the paranoia surrounding the Germans and Japanese would cause Scarecrow to come out of the shadows. 6) of course: joker doing Joker things. 7) certain ace pilots returning to America to sell war bonds. Perhaps a certain Steve Trevor and his Star Spangled girlfriend? Maybe a certain Hal Jordon?

For Season 2 it would be Nice to see Kate Kane Batwoman Black Canary Jean Paul Valley Tommy Monahan/Hitman Maggie Sawyer Etrigan the Demon Mayor Hamilton Hill Lady Spellbinder Tally Man Dr Phosphus Whisper D'are Vasper Fairchild Crazy Quilt Penny Plunderer To name a few. Shame they killed two face but I'm glad this show shook things up. I definitely want to see more of Mama penguin in season 2 And i would love to see Ra's Al Ghoul and Bane too . And maybe someday a Adaption of No Man's Land from the comics

You know who i want? I want Montoya's rendition of The Question, with a backstory completely divorced from Vic Sage. I think a sort of "rival" vigilante appearing on Batman's turf would lead to some real intriguing storylines

Finally, I have finished the show and after my concerns in the previous episode, I thought this was quite of the improvement and a more satisfying episode. To start, the pacing I felt was way better handled and more balanced and the characters felt a lot more well explored and I found myself really taken aback by Harvey's sacrifice. I also really liked the scene with Harvey and Bruce in Arkham and how for a moment Bruce's Batman voice slipped out. One thing though I have to say is that because I had taken a break in between episodes 7 and 8, when Jim Gordon showed up in episode 9 I had honestly forgotten he had appeared in the show before. And we got a tease for the Joker at the end… big shock. Now though, this is where the compliments end for me. Having seen what the show has to offer, this is a very unremarkable and at times dull show. It is thinly veiled as a different approach but despite the alternate takes on some of the characters, It tells nothing in you today that hasn't been better explored in other modern superhero media but easily it's biggest drawback is that the main character is so incredibly monotonous and plain. He has all the sensibilities to make him Batman but despite the attempt to humanize him towards the end he just feels like he lacks heart (creatively I mean). It also doesn't help that the show has some of the most uninspiring and tedious to look at visuals I have seen in an animated series in years. It hurts to say, but In my opinion this is the weakest Batman series to recent date. I'm amazed that I'd ever get the feeling to rewatch Beware the Batman. With everything I've said, Would I personally recommend the show to anyone? Sadly the answer is no. If you want to watch something to make you fall asleep, then maybe the show is for you. If I were to recommend a recent animated comic book show to anyone, I would say go watch Invincible, X-Men '97, My Adventures With Superman and Hit-Monkey, all of which tell far more interesting stories and are of vastly superior quality. Here's hoping the upcoming Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man animated series is good.

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing their take on Man-Bat and Deathstroke. As for Robin maybe a twist and have it be Terry McGinnis.

I was disappointed that they killed off Two-Face so early; it's poor Aaron Eckhart all over again!!! I wanted to see mob-boss Two-Face; would've been perfect for filling the power vacuum left by Penguin's imprisonment and a poetic rival to Thorne. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted, his death was still a good one and it's better than not seeing him at all.

i have 2 questions 1. whats your opinions on two face's death? at one hand its nice to see his story ended in a heroic fashion but in other hand GOD he was written almost perfectly and he left the serie way too early 2. there are huge talks going around about who was the man in post credit scene. who can he be? man it was a weird ride. CC have its flaws (most jarring one is animation. not the art desing ii kinda like it but MAN there are alot of cheap backgrounds and animation errors) but imo it was a fresh and somewhat bold take on batman that i want to see more of

Such an amazing episode and season finale! Loved Dents conversation with B&F Loved babs and dents whole thing. Loved babs and bats! So great. I wish the no blood would mean dent could come back, but I'm not a writer. Amazing scene with flass. They had no idea when they made the episode how a real world event would mirror that scene. Great closing scene, can't wait for S2! I definately want more Gotham Central and alternate reality.

I hope its more of a golden age version of Joker. Me personally i would have kept the crime family angle and built up the Scarecrow origin
