Goosebumps, I agree! The best day of my life was two years ago, when I was at their concert with my two children, 26 and 18, and we were all singing together!
No es solo la calidad de las canciones. Es la calidad de los musicos. Son musicos de sesion, aptos para tocar cualquier genero musical. Y lo demostraron siempre con su estilo de fusion.
I hate to say it, but I am a boomer and I feel privileged to have grown up with what I consider the pinnacle of rock from Beatles, Elton John, Emerson Lake & Palmer, etc. I discovered Toto and other groups in the 80s. What a wonderful time. This from a guy who listens to Classical music 90% of the time.
There is rock, metal, blues, heavymetal, pop, gospel, Rich, poor, love, sadness, there is Fancy, there is friendship, there is magic, there are mysterious things, there s unknown, and then there is the most Classy, entretaining band Named Toto. If there is a god and like music.. this is what i Bet he will be listening.
Listening to this new Toto video was an incredibly emotional and immersive experience, almost like being right there at their concert. Toto remains incredible as always.
Man... I love "Hold the Line" it was one of my first songs "not for children"... about that time I was under 7 or 8 and still listened music for children, but a tv network used that song in their advertasing and I got hooked for life... many people like "Africa" most... but in my heart "Hold the Line" will be for ever never my favourite...
My 2 year old son and I love Hold the Line that’s his song and he always dances to it but today he started babbling the lyrics and I’m now sobbing uncontrollably. Becoming a dad was one of the best things I’ve ever done.
My wife and I never wanted kids. We were surprised by her pregnancy 10 years ago. Our son Ian has been such a blessing ever since. He's our little dude and we couldn't love him any more. Congrats to you. Blessings to you and your family.
Unbelievable.. over the years, they still got it all.. the voice, that guitar tone & lick, even though Steve Lukather is getting into more Einstein look, they made 80’s as if it’s like just yesterday. Love it 😊 😊
I remember buying the self-titled Toto album as a young, black man back in the late seventies and my buddies (used to hearing me spin R&B and jazz) asking me what I was doing with this album. I reminded them that this was the band that played "Georgy Porgy" that was on our local urban stations airplay list, but they didn't know what the band looked like or that they were some of the best studio musicians around (backing up so many folks on Columbia records). Played the whole album and they had to admit how talented they were. Hold the Line, Rossana, Africa, and so many other hits by this group. And Steve Lukather is an awesome guitarists who has played on solo albums and so many other musician's albums over the decades. Good stuff.
@@raymondallo9947 Sure. That's how this hypocrite system tends to work. But at least the producers of the show can pet themselves on the back for empowering women! :)
Joseph sounds phenomenal for 63 years old. I hope my singing stays that strong when I reach his age. I love seeing them still going at it. The whole band sounds incredible. Luke is a master as always.
hi-school age album4️⃣ released time line Iwent to as the foreign band concert NAME which was🧙 TOTO🎉 at that time line lukes🎸solo improvisation every moment👍his LOVE had been always success 🔛💓time 🤗👍good job MAN (・-・) in🇯🇵\(・◡・)/笑 15:42
I have loved this band since the first time I heard the piano intro to Holf the Line...My kids grew up knowing these songs and I gotta be honest I choked up a bit seeing those two kids belting out the words in a crowd of people old enough to be their grandparents....this is the power of music.
Lukathers restraint on this with the full orchestra is a master class in less is more in melodic guitar mastery. He never waists any notes when it isn’t called for.
I feel so bad for younger generations that are running out of time to appreciate these kind of bands live. They really don’t make music like this anymore. And before you call me a “boomer” I’m 33.
Toto they are a magnificent rock band and they should be in the Rock and roll Hall of Fame if they're not they should be right I love everybody Toto ever did 🎸🎵🎶❤️🎵🎸🎶🎸👍 Rock on Toto
@@joegreatmusicfirstweir9646 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is now a JOKE these days. TOTO were already inducted in the Musicians Hall of Fame more than a decade ago. So, no. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame doesn't deserve TOTO. like I said, RRHOF is a JOKE.
When I see Steve Lukather and think back to the days of playing little league baseball with him and where he is today,I'm truly blown away by his success.
We were all about 8 and 9 years old so I can't say if any of us were very good. Steve lived just a few blocks from me and sometimes we'd listen to Beatles records in his bedroom.@@emdblues
Toto is one of my favorite bands in the planet and Steve Lukather for me as a guitar player is an international treasury. Great Video, thank you for sharing. It would be great to see a reunion of Toto members : David Paich, Steve Pocaro, Lee and Simon Philips. For me the best version of Hold the line is with 2014 line up for the bands 35th anniversary live in Poland. Amy keys on the back vocals she just killed it and her voice perfectly in pitch with Joseph’s.
Absolutely would love to see a reunion tour with Luke, Dave, Simon, Steve P & Joe. Even if only for a year, they are always busy after all. They should do some jamming from a living room and record that onto video. I'm not so sure about Dave's condition... but maybe Simon & Steve P could join the band once more in the future for fun.
Dave has made some guest appearances with the band. I could see Si Phi coming back but not Steve P as he said he's pretty much done touring and fell out with Luke for a while
@@jaggass I don't know much about the current state. The last thing I read somewhere was that Luke, Dave, Joe and Steve met for dinner somewhere. Sounded like they are still friends. As for Simon, well he mentioned a couple years ago to John Beaudin from RHM that he would "definitely do it" if the circumstances were right and the material was including some of the songs he wrote & recorded with the Guys. However, he has been busy with other projects and is changing his mind about Toto every now and then. I do think the Bridges record made him reconnect a little bit with Luke, Dave & Joe though. I'd LOVE to have Si back, but Steve should be there too. Why could you imagine Si coming back?
@@CaptainSpyware I thought I read somewhere that Simon lost everything in the wildfires except his dog, partner and car. That must have been terrible for him.
Toto…one of the best bands ever. Africa…still one of the best songs ever recorded ❤ I was only 11 when this song was released but it hit my heart from the moment I heard it, and now, 42 years later, it is still one of my favourite songs of all time! ❤ BTW…love that Toto had a female conductor and that she was fully into the songs..singing along whilst conducting…fabulous! ❤ Those synth sounds were groundbreaking back in the day and are classic now. ❤ Hold The Line is another massive favourite of mine (to think I was only 7 when it was released but I latched onto it even back then!) - just look at that little girl in the audience singing along with fervour….that was me back in the day! 😂 Rosanna is still a favourite too. ❤
So thankful that I have a brother who's a massive fan. I recently rediscovered Toto in my 40s and appreciate how amazing this band is. Keeping my fingers crossed that they'll come back to the Philippines even for just a 1-night gig.
Thanks for posting this. Great tunes! I've been a fan of Toto since their very first album. They belong in the HOF of greatest bands. Not the most consistent lineup, but that's impossible to do for over 40 years. Lukather and Williams are still great together. I miss DP's piano and vocals.

Верно е но за съжеление ги няма братята Поркаро Пейдж на кейборда Всъщност единствено Лукатер е все още активен от класическия Тото . Поздрави от Бургас
