As I've just learned about passing of Toto Cutugno, I came to listen to this song which I have known and loved since I was a child. And so - with Toto Cutugno's passing, a part of my - and indeed - my generation's childhood is gone. But his songs remain. May you rest in peace.
I was at restaurant tonight and his song was played which got me into tears without having control over it .I came home and played it on U Tube not knowing he passed away recently 😢 😔 😪. Unbelievably coincidental .Part of our lives gone forever .Bless you all .Glory to Italy 🇮🇹
This song reminds me of my childhood when My dad used to play it in the car whenever we went out because mom used to adore Italian and everything about Italy . unfortunately, she never had the chance to go there and see it for herself since she passed away 5 years ago due to cancer . I can’t wait to one day walk the streets of Italy with this song playing in my ears while I visit that lovely country for both myself and Mama ! ❤️

The saddest moment during the first year of covid was when NBC, CBC, or whoever showed the video of one whole neighborhood in Italy standing on their balconies in the middle of the night, and singing this song together! Che bella cosa hai scritto! Mi sento di condividerne appieno l'emozione. E ricordo benissimo quando ce la fecero cantare alle elementari, vestiti in jean e t-shirt bianca... a chiusura di uno spettacolo che si faceva tutti gli anni. Ricordo ancòra vivido il brivido di dolcezza che mi percosse davanti al pubblico mentre tutti insieme ci sentivamo uniti da un vero senso d'italianità. Ed era proprio nel mezzo degli anni '80... quando questi brani spopolavano forse più all'estero che in patria... E ora a 42 anni questi brani mi ridanno quel brivido non meno attenuato nonostante il nostro Paese stia colando a picco peggio del Titanic. Queste canzoni sono capsule del tempo, che conservano tutta la rampante magia di quegli anni in cui volare sulle ali del sogno era molto facile. Un abbraccio tutto italiano a te e a chi legge. I have listened to this song in 1985 when i was 11. i did not know any other languages than Arabic. i was in saudi then. I used to sing it loudly to my dad because he loved it so much. I still sing it every now and then. I loved the music and the smooth italian words. I simply loved italy without seeing it. I hope Italy will recover and people will be safe..... Kisses from YEMEN.
