I've always loved Jeff Porcaro's playing and subsequently, loved Toto's music. Any chance I get I will try to cover one of their songs. My objective is to not copy Jeff's playing but to pay tribute to an amazing drummer by playing my own version of some of the songs that I have loved over the years. This week Steve Lukather announced the end of Toto as a band. Well, this video is my "Thanks for the Music" tribute to one of the best bands to ever release music.
I recorded my version of this track on the 18th of August, 2019 in my teaching studio at JMC Academy with my Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple 6 piece kit and some of my favourite Paiste cymbals.
