Another u21 title coming... hopefully some of these kids get a run and make an impact. Expect challenges from gray 6, bergvall 8 to crack in , additionally lankshear, devine, donley, moore to grow and releave struggling starters. Agreed we need a few incoming attacking tech wingers, 9 and if we do we should progress in the 2nd year. Excited.

Paul O Keefe said 3 players. If my assumptions are correct: Its probably gonna be a winger, ST and LB In terms of importance: the LB is my personal priority. The forwards will somehow get the job done regardless of how shite they play. They will whip in a 100 crosses and tap 1 in at the 90th min. But at the moment if we don't have Udogie, everything collapses. I am not a fan of VDV playing at LB. His recovery pace is crucial. So for me, LB cover should be of the highest priority: Either Bradley Locko or Patrick Dorgu. Both are very exciting players

@@jacklegros6614 shouldn't be an either or. We need all 3 positions but if I had to rank them based on priority, then LB is the most important. Djed has shown the ability to cover for Porro. Even if that doesn't work out, there's archie gray. So that side is sorted. LB is the biggest worry. Playing Ben Davies as a LB is basically shooting yourself in the foot. He can be our 4th choice CB but not a LB

I would hope some left side players come in next. To maintain a challenge is the next step. For that you might need a player to rotate off the bench for Udogie, and one unplayable winger. Everyone always loves to see a new striker. By this point the vibe in the group should be happier. Me personally i like raiding the championship for Jobe Bellingham, Jack Clarke, Summerville. Then drop in Eze, LWB, and Spurs would have that mix of variation in age group, experience.

My thoughts would be Hincape from Leipzig. We were strongly linked last season, decent stats. Great back up for left sided back up and a LB for Udogie. A 24 yr old. Worth a good look at least ? COYS

i watched a full complete breakdown of our squad and what it means to us considering 'home grown and uefa rules and we only have a couple spots open in reality, still need to do a lot of work with outgoings yet. even with the youngsters because under 21s dont have to be listed they are free places essentially.

I'm not sure if it's "the thing to do" in football these days, to have versatile players. As in, I don't think it's anyone's go to. I just think it's because to be able to compete in all competitions, you sort of almost need 3 teams of players, as in 3 players in each position, to be able to rotate, and fill injury gaps, you know, all that long season kind of stuff. If everyone is versatile, you don't need as many players, you can cope with versatile players plugging gaps. I think if you could have the perfect situation, I don't think you would choose to do that, you would want the best of the best in every position. Players that have the skills needed on each position.

Good to have you back Sean! I think you’re right with regard to what we need up top. Definitely a wing forward and a 9 needed. I think Spence and Gray would give enough cover at RB now and Spence definitely deserves a chance to make an impact this season I feel. For left sided defence cover, don’t shoot me anyone but I thought Skippy did very well there in the friendly so far. Could give him a bit of a new lease of life too. I’d love to see Doue in the team over Eze too but just don’t see it as being realistic. Eze could give us what we need on either flank and that would give Deki the chance to play more central on rotation with Madders perhaps. Number 9 for me has to be Toney all day long. He’ll be mustard for us with all the creativity around him.

I’m most intrigued by Gray for the 6 for us because he’s shown the defensive chops and the composure on the ball. Plus England really needs that role filled as well so if he grabs it by the horns for us in the next couple years he’s setting himself up to break into that team. I’ve got a lot of hope for Djed Spence to be fullback cover as well now that we’ve finally seen what he can do if given minutes.

Big up Seano. Personally I think we will make at least 2 statement signings but slowing them down on purpose. During preseason it’s more minutes to assess the kids, then last window we went mental early but when quiet at the end the fans were whinging again, Statement signings don’t need assessing preseason. I think we’ll get Eze plus 2 more. Chillax! 😊

In terms of CF… I’m torn whether Spurs would actually pay more than £35m for Toney being that he is 28/29 with a year left of his deal. Gyokeres would be great and I like how much his all around game offers the team. At 26 he might see this as the time for a big move to a big league. I still think someone like Lois Openda is more Ange ball appealing (if we want to go beyond a club record fee). It’s just obviously a very unlikely achievable addition unless we offer £70m+ and unbelievable wages to not turn down (which isn’t how we operate). I think someone like Jonathan David or Marmoush will be a safer and cheaper risk for the clubs hierarchy.

I think our front line needs take advantage of our improving wing play. Get across the 1st defender. Attack the 6 yard box. Be available for pull backs from the by-line. And Bergvall I believe adds passing range from deeper so Maddison can be more forward. I thing Bergvall is good enough to be on par with Maddison

I agree with your opinion, Sean. I would be stunned if Spurs bought Eze For the left side! Eze's best placed in the centre of midfield in an attacking position. We really need a couple of DM's a left-back, and a top-attacking midfielder, 2 would be out of this world, at least 1 left and 1 right-sided attacking winger, and a striker. So that's just the 7 positions we need this summer out of the 12 players we need altogether. unfortunately, Spurs will only get 3 of those 7 we really need!

Good to see you back Sean. Only things i would add, Toney still in the mix potentially, and Spence has a chance to step up and be that back up for porro when Royal leaves. Regilon should go soon so i think we still need cover for destiny. Back up goal keeper would be ideal, although in the friendlies austin has surpriesed.
