I'm thinking of either buying a hot water unit or building one myself. I know I would need gaskets/seals that can withstand the temperatures, but do you have any recommendations on brands or something I might overlook?
@@matthewsspecializeddetaili610 traffic film is the grey-ish film of dirt on the body work. I would probably best describe it as a thin film of grease personally. So a couple of years ago I set up a mobile car cleaning business which was only for the Exterior the idea was to do a touchless wash I used a product called nerta foam and jet washed the vehicle with cold water from a pressure washer it was great however it left traffic film. So basically I abandoned the idea as I wasn’t convinced I was doing a 100 percent job. Going back to the drawing board I thought maybe the mistake I made was using cold water however it would of meant spending quiet abit of money to change equipment to just find out, as there aren’t many videos on hot water cleaning so I’m glad I’ve found this any suggestions would be appreciated as I am still curious to this day
Impressive, if I had three wishes, a garage big enough to have a warm washbay area & hot water pressure washer would be up there too, third wish, I need to think about. (NOT a criticism) Just wondering to what % the hot water had in delivering a 95% PLUS touchless clean over & cold water wash or was it the effectiveness of the prewash/detergent? only one way to find out 🙂
The hot water is the real key to making the touch-less wash work efficiently. I will be doing some more testing with cold water. The hot water does increase the cleaning ability of the specific detergent I am using, but the heat helps flush all the solids and the chemicals to rinse freely from the surface. Lots of trial and errors yet before this is perfected and implemented into my services. I appreciate the engagement, and thank you for watching. Now I have to think about my wishes 😉
@@matthewsspecializeddetaili610 Thank you for sharing your experience with us, it is appreciated, as I only regularly look after the family cars do you consider 'hot water' having zero effect re the durability of ceramic / graphene coatings? all of our vehicals are coated (now its family relatives & friends that keep me busy) I cant see myself ever being able to justify an all singing/dancing hot water generating pressure washer but one that can take a hot water feed from the house / garage is a real option as building the man-cave I want isnt on the cards. Take care fella, wishing you health & happiness.
It would need to much colder than 32 degrees outside for that to happen. Never the less, it is something to be cautious about. I am only washing outside when it is above 32.
