No more new Lowreys sadly. But there are new modern organs still being made and sold by Wersi and Ringway. And as a result, we find many second hand Lowrey organs becoming available and the cost is a fraction of the original new price. You can pick up a second lowrey quite easily and you find that these will all have been treated so well and remain in as new condition. I regularly play a Lowrey Prestige Plus and it remains just a beautiful creation. Basically what Trevor is playing in this video. You can not understand how incredible the sound delivery is from a Lowrey until you sit at one. Truly todate, no other organ can produce that quality of sound that wraps around you as you play..
Brilliant and love this instrument 👍👍👍 It’s Just a shame that these types of instrument a fast becoming a thing of the past with only a few music shops in the uk still selling them Part of the problem is the high price tag of organs then there’s the weight with most people preferring keyboards, synthesisers and workstations that are cheaper and more portable
There are a number of organ manufactures producing organs, Wersi and Ringway both produce sensational instruments! They are not heavy like the Lowery's and are reasonably priced.
@@dereksanders7905 yes they are fantastic instruments but the price of a top of the range wersi can set you back over 20,000 pounds a top of the range ringway between 12 and 14,000 pounds and a second hand lowery 10,000 pounds put this into perspective Korg Kronos 2 88 key 2,700 pounds Yamaha Genos 3,800 pounds. Yamaha montage about 3,000 pounds and these are all top of the range instruments and more portable and don’t take up a lot of room
Lowrey are still very popular in the Uk. And Allens always seam to be able to offer second hand "previously loved" instruments in superb condition. And most importantly they offer full service and backup. And these second hand organs have become so relatively cheap to buy. The whole experience of sitting and playing one of these is just incredible, with their 15 speaker and multiple amplifier sound system. I regularly get to play a Prestige Plus and it just wraps its sound around you. So lush and enjoyable. As a keyboard player that normally uses midi to link controllers, a pc and VST software instruments, I do enjoy these organs because its all integrated and balanced together where you can set up one touch presets. So fast and easy to play stuff.
