Twelve long years in the shadow of pain,
A life broken, my hope nearly slain,
Doctors and healers, they all took their toll,
Spent all I had, yet it shattered my soul.
But I heard of a healer, a whisper of light,
In the crowd, I found courage, to end my long night.
