Thanks for the video! For the “Game Paused” problem I installed the module: “Koboldworks - pause control”. And then in the configuration for the module select “unpause on ready”. Happy gaming!

Aaawww that’s unfortunate! In v11 it for sure won’t work out of the box and the developer hasn’t updated it in over a year so I think it is dead atm :(
Given that the GM is going to use a regular PC whilst the players use tablets, is there any way to have the module only affect the players rather than the GM as well? I’m sure the answer is ‘no’ but it’s always worth an ask…
Unfonrtunately no since modules affect all users. Is there something specific that would be disturbing the GM with the module? As far as I know, you can continue using Foundry on desktop normally.
TouchVTT is a module for Foundry VTT. You need to have purchased Foundry VTT and then install the module in Foundry. Then you can connect to your Foundry through your browser using the URL to your Foundry.
Looking at the module's Github page, this is a reported bug with the latest version. A community member is working on a fix at the moment so this should get fixed at some point.
Hey Man, Love your channel. I'm learning so much about Foundry VTT thanks to your videos. I wanted to ask you about this video in particular. Does the Touch VTT module work over a network? In other words, say I'm running a game as GM, and I have a player using a touchscreen who joined the game from somewhere else via the internet. Where does the module need to be installed? On the GM machine, the player who has the touchscreens machine, or does this only work on a single machine at the moment. If so, the other player must be moving their token as the GM right?
Thanks for the kind words! So the way Foundry works is that the GM has the Foundry instance running and the players connect to that Foundry instance (of course if you use a service like The Forge then Foundry runs on their server), and as such, when you install a module on Foundry it is installed for you and all your players.
@@EspatiallyGood By Foundry server I mean the Foundry standalone software which the GM runs and players connect to with the URL the GM provides. Self hosting can be a bit tricky and you might run into some problems so if that is too technical for you to handle, I recommend The Forge for hosting Foundry. It costs but is worth it in my opinion. Great video. Since you're using an iPad, I assume this module clears up the issues that Foundry has with Safari? I had a player try to play using an iPad with a keyboard case and bluetooth mouse and Safari just wasn't having it. Either way, thanks for the video. Will have to give this a try!
Players normally log in via browser by link. How can they install touch vtt, isn't that a module in the foundry program itself, or am i missing something?
Yes Touch VTT is a module that is installed on Foundry itself. The player will then log in via a browser on their touch screen device and can then use Foundry thanks to the module.
It seems like the module doesn’t show up in Foundry’s module browser but if you google it, you can still find the project page. However the module hasn’t been updated in over a year and is for sure broken on v11. I’m not aware of any other modules like it.
Your GM needs to install TouchVTT on Foundry. It's a module specifically for Foundry so you as the player don't need to install anything after your GM has installed the TouchVTT module.
I’m not surprised since Foundry, and its modules by extension, are not designed for iPad and mobile phone screens. There’s not much that can be done about it.
