Looks like a totally experimental modernisation! I think KONE just did the touch-sensitive fixtures for experimental reasons since it is so rare to find those. And also the fact that they don't react that good when you press them and the different chime (not typical M-chime) tells me these fixtures are just an experiment. But at least they look wheeile nice.

lol 8:00 exactly as when I got stuck, I slammed the door operator button as I thougt that the lift would reverse, but all it did was just make the innerdoors go crazy. This really shows the bad side with inner doors.
The elevator was stuck probably because the controller is not accounting for the inner doors, and therefore, the time lapses just before they get closed. That is an example of a stupid remod.
yes they are. no moving parts to fail either. each button has a matching arrow around it too. nice down chime. what was that long string of beeps in the elevator? new machinery sounds great.
Stupid bureaucrat regulations in the late 90's required inner doors or photcells to be installed in all elevators without inner doors. So sad that people actually obey this
Heritage Elevators, would you say the US has the safest, least malfunctioning elevators? (i know they do malfunction sometimes, ive witnessed it) but have never heard of any resulting in death or accident from a maintained elevator, ive seen a few videos from china of the elevators having catastrophic malfunction and falling floors and floors and killing the passenger, the elevator where i live is probably one of the safest, it has several built-in in-case mechanisms, not sure what they are, but that's what the in-building office lady explained.
The elevators I have to use have Automatic doors... ON BOTH SIDES!!!!!!!! So if you manage to fuck up the elevator. you are there till you can somehow pry both doors open or use the emergency phone.
Can we all just stop commenting " you shouldn't press the stop button" I think this guy gets it at this point, and even if he doesn't and he want to keep pressing it just let him FFS
With the elevators at our new train stations all you have to do is just walk up to the elevator and it automatically calls the car It’s contactless so that means you don’t even have to push a button and the lift is automatically called
Those fixtures are very rare. You normally only see regular M series, good find! Also, if those stupid inner doors weren't installed, you wouldn't have been stuck.
By the way there was a slab on the bottom and the door was hitting it causeing it to open then it would restart and shut again. If you were to scare you could have just jumped on the elevator to loosen it

Craaazy... I Think the bells was left from an 70´s mod. like from F&R. Also the controller gives the inner doors a too short time to Close, then it Thinks the "interlock" wont work, and tries again...
at 10:55 ARE YOU KIDDING ME? When the elevator stopped at a floor I'd have gotten the _fuck_ out of there! Not given it another chance to trap me again!
He probably wasn't scared of riding it again because he knew how to get it going again if he stops it. He figured out that he needs to help the inner doors close.
