Sid Melton improves every movie in which he appears. I forget the name of the film, but in one scene, sid, playing his cameraman roll, found a wanted poster for Sid Melton. Sid's a real b Crime movie superstar.

LOL. I totally disagree. He plays the same kind of superfluous character in almost all of them. I've never laughed once at any of his roles. I don't think he's the least bit funny or even necessary in anything in which I can remember seeing him. I always thought he must have had something on someone or was someone's brother-in-law.

The first time I saw Sid was in a movie called Hijacked. I saw it with my Mom when I was a kid He kept begging the boss to let him use a gun. When he finally got it he got shot and killed. Not knowing his name my Mom and I always called him "first gun " everytime we saw him in a movie. It was a long time before I learned his name. Lol. I always enjoyed his work.

I cannot stand him as he always plays the goofy fool for comedic effect. He plays this exact same role in movie after movie. I had to stop watching halfway through. He must have had some very good friends keeping him busy in Hollywood back then. Granted, we all have our own opinions and our own likes & dislikes, but this role he plays is quite tiresome for many of us. Edit: Actually, I would like to see how he would have performed in a profoundly serious role. Who knows? He might have been a considerable talent who got stuck in a slot that he didn't even want.

Two comments. None of those guys knew how to wear levies. They looked ridiculous. More like clowns 🤡 instead of cowboys 🐄. And secondly, I had forgotten how big those old cars steering wheels were. They looked more like wagon wheels. And steering them looked so funny. Took a lot of work. 😅😅😅😅

We have to run ads in order to pay the license fees to make the movies available, but they are supposed to be spaced out. I just looked at the movie and there was a commercial at the very beginning and no others, which doesn't make sense. Please let me know if you encounter too many commercials on any of our other movies.

@mickeybitsko1676....That price does seem really high. I tried to read the fine print but all I could make out was the word 'large' and then 'EGGS'. Maybe it was for more than a dozen...hopefully a lot more than a dozen..!! I googled how much eggs were in 1949 and one article said 12 cents a dozen. Other articles said that post WWll rationing was still affecting prices and eggs were anywhere from 60 cents to 70 cents, depending where one was. I would guess that in the rural areas where a lot of people had chickens that a dozen eggs would be cheaper than in the city. So this grocery add could have been a real add. Interesting....I learned something new...!!

Why did he wear the scarf covering his eyes when he was retracing the route? Couldn't he have done it just as easily with his eyes closed without the covering? Sid Melton was his usually annoying self and about as funny as a clogged toilet at a baby shower!
