Your voice sounds just like Howard Stern. Love your reviews on all of the stacktech products if they can manage to get and keep it in the stores I'm investing into it.
i was keeping en eye on this for a while. I didnt want to pull the trigger on red team yet. I am leaning towards tough build so far. You should return the cart. That crack is at a critical area.
Great video! I was thinking of switching over from packout because I love the color and the rails, however I live in the desert where there is a lot of dirt and rocks driving on unpaved roads I can foresee the locking mechanisms malfunctioning due to dirt and dust that would ultimately get in there. Wish packout would just sell us the black ones in the us
Amazing Video!... Thank you SO much for your time and dedication. The crack in the aluminium part and cast is NOT good. I think they need a little redesign of that bolt area and better quality control for all the products.
Not sure how that happened. It’s interesting if you watch the set up video the crack wasn’t there but all I did was put empty boxes on this thing, so I just don’t know how it cracked.
I could definitely use this , I've been waiting for them to come to Quebec , 😢 unfortunately i guess I'll have to stick with the older Bosch L boxx system , it's been okay , just wish I had more drawers options. Those tough built look pretty nice though. I wonder how it's going to hold up in our Canadian winter and jobsite conditions.
I'm impressed.... Great review, I'm definitely switching over from Ridgid to StackTech. Some of my Ridgid boxes won't stay clipped in. The metal latch presses into plastic hooks, the hooks wore down, such a dumb design. Tough Built Looks awesome!!! I don't dig Milwaukee, Too much red.
Nice review I still want this even though it won't do fit in cart mode on my trailer I made. It will fit if my machine in not on trailer. I made width of the trailer 3f 8inch.
Yup, not even sure how that happened. When I was assembling this it wasn’t an issue and I didn’t even get to use this other than moving it around and putting empty boxes on it so I’m gonna have to make a claim.
With only the 3 drawer box (or two of them side by side) it would fit under the cover on my F150 (retractable cover, not low profile), but the handle will not. You would have to slide it under in dolly configuration. The handle sticks up roughly 3½ feet in hand truck configuration.
I don't understand why we in the US or at least in San Jose CA, can't get any stock at LOWE'S. There is a pitiful selection at my local store and they have no plans to order any more. How is it that in Australia, and the UK they have no problem getting Stacktech products, but here in the US, home of Toughbuilt, we can't get anything. AND Toughbuilt will not allow direct orders from them. How are they going to make money if they will not ship products to stores?
It wasn't there during setup it's interesting because I didn't put any weight on this so I don't know how that happened but that concerns me I'm going to have to swap this out
Could just be a scratch in the powder coating that looks like a crack if it wasn't there during assembly. You should look at it super close to see if it's just scratched powder coat or an actual crack.
The only way you’re gonna find it is if you just drive to many different Lowe’s stores check their stock and check their above stock even in certain isles. We actually had to drive to Florida to get this one. You can also go online and use different ZIP Codes on the Lowe’s website until you find one and then when you do, you’ll be able to set it up for pick up. They won’t offer delivery for some reason. good luck.
I’ll stick with team red as much I was excited for this system! I’m just too far invested in the red system to switch, hoping they make something similar soon!
Does it fit in a truck bed? Like laying down or on its side? I have the milwaukee hand truck and it fits in the bed while turn on its side. Let's see a video of that!
@TechMadeEzy I wanna see if if it fits in 4 wheel mode though with single drawer of tool box. I have a teanou cover on my bed and looking for solution to be able to just pull out my stuff rather than having to take it all apart and back together every time I take it in and out of the bed. F150 bed height is 21inches. Need to know the height of the hand truck with the single drawer or regular tool box still attached.
I’ve got one of those and I hate that the nose plate feels like it’s on a hair trigger; the nose plate may as well not have the ability to fold up, since it very easily unlocks and slams down. I’m thinking of replacing it with this TB handtruck since I’m accumulating Stacktech boxes (which I absolutely love).
Looks like the TB dolly is very similar to the Cosco 3 in 1 dolly. I've got the Cosco 3 in 1 dolly which is like the 4 in 1 but the foot doesn't fold up. It has been great in my applications of using it to transport Dewalt ToughSystem boxes, ladders and step platforms on job sites. It's been so handy for both rough terrain transport in its 2 wheel configuration as well as handy loading up a lot of stuff on it in 4 wheel configuration on concrete surfaces. Tough Built has got a winner with this dolly if your in the Tough Built platform imo. It is a bit pricey considering you can get the Cosco 3 in 1 for $99 often. But ofcourse the locking feature for the boxes is pretty neat imo If your willing to spend the $.
I have the 4 in 1 and it's great. I have no issues with the toe plate on mine as someone else posted. The best thing is you can use it at a 45* angle between dolly and hand truck. I don't use it a lot but when I need it it's awesome to have.
@TechMadeEzy I'd guess not. It seems like it's solidly built, and the castor wheels look plenty big to me. I thought 269 was a little much at first, but upon reflection, if it can handle 400 pounds in hand truck mode and 800 in cart mode, it's a steal imo. The Milwaukee equivalent is only 40$ less and is a hand truck only. I'm pretty partial to Milwaukee, but this is obviously worth the price.
As you know, I’m just doing a review I’m not a construction guy. I’m not putting this through the test but definitely first impression putting this together using it for a few days with different configurations. I feel pretty good so far.
@TechMadeEzy Its a pretty good dolly even if its a little pricey. Its probably worth it since it has the box attachment system on it. Cosco makes a 3 in 1 that is very similar and they usually charge $169 for it but you can often get it for $99. I have one and have used it for several years with my Dewalt Toughsystem boxes and it works great. If I wasnt already heavily invested in the Dewalt system id probably get into the Tough Built system and get this dolly. It is a very versatile solution for transporting the box systems and so much more on all kinds of terrain in my experience. And the Tough built box system seems to be a winner.
I saw your question I’m assuming if you take off the wheels it’ll fit but I don’t know why it would want to do that. At that point you can just buy the XL box. It’s the same without the wheels.
Too heavy, assembly shows how poorly parts are made. Took a hammer to get the parts together.(the handle) Several of the welds had flux wire pieces still sticking out. I tried it on one job. Switched to the 4 wheel dolly, and the equipment back to my old hand trucks. Thx for the video.
Paul you are correct I went back to the set up video and everything looked fine, so this must’ve happened after putting it together. The weird part is we only had boxes on this unit. They weren’t even full. There was nothing inside of them. I’ll have to contact them and get a replacement.
Thank you for your feedback honestly in most cases it’s just not possible with the way we were review by the point of view. From time to time I do and I am aware that I tried to limit movement movement smooth so it doesn’t bother the viewer. I do appreciate your feedback.
I know it takes time but try to run around to different stores when you have time you might actually be surprised to see one sitting on the floor in stock
It's not a Lowe's product but a product that Lowe's may carry. I've been using Tough Built tool punches for years now. Long before Lowe's ever started carrying TB. That being said, TB quality has noticeably slipped since I first started buying them. Cheaper manufacturing processes or materials one. Either way, they're not quite the Tough Built they built their reputation on. You are right about Lowe's though. Stay away if at all possible.
I have first gen Milwaukee plastic boxes and they are still holding up. I will not purchase any product from Lowes due to many past purchases that proved sub standard quality from them.@@stritheor
Lowes garden and wallpaper center doesn't sell quality stuff anywhere... Homeowners and apartment renters who fall for gimmicks are the customer base..
looks like you can not open the units on the handle side while in place since the handle will get in the way. The entire idea on any of these stacking systems is the ability to open lower units without unstacking. Poor design on Toughbuilt's part
@@MONEYZ123 Trying to bump your algorithm so you can make a lot more money... I watched a bunch of them trying to figure out how they can justify charging the same price as Packout for homeowner/apartment renter gimmick stuff.. .. The more I saw, the worse the design looked and the fake comments were kinda embarrassing.. You're welcome for the added activity..
