It's more like halfway between Ga and Ka. It's a sound that doesn't exist in English so the ear tends to make it one or the other. A number of Korean consonants are like this. T and D for example. Despite my phone training me, I still have some attention span left. Doing the MV+Performance Video is pretty standard length. Also there’s a ton of reactors who just do go “woah” and name off faces on screen. I appreciate that you can quickly rattle off the details of what you are liking. Also the text box comments and meme shots are great because those are pretty funny and convey additional thoughts from post.

JiU is... i mean i had the privilege to see them live not long ago, first of all, every single one of them is 10x more gorgeous in person. Like, drop dead gorgeous, every last one of them. But not JiU... JiU is just beyond that point. She is literally BRING YOU BACK TO LIFE GORGEOUS. I saw her right in front of me, with my very own eyes and i still cant believe it. That's one way that we KNOW that the lyrics and MV to 'OOTD' is SARCASTIC AF! No way would JiU ever TELL anybody to call her a goddess, she's just not like that, she never has been that way. When you get to Odd Eye, not only is there a Dance Video for it's regular choreo, but you have to also do "Dreamcatcher(드림캐쳐) 'Odd Eye' Dance Video (Dystopia ver.)" which brings elements of the whole trilogy together. It's a nice end to the whole thing.

I can hear SuA's laugh from here... Off the stage, DC are kooky, nerdy dorks and we love them for that. They are fun-loving, smiley and happy-go-lucky most of the time (every Human has their bad days, don't get me wrong). They are always about love, open-minded positivity and having fun. That makes the fandom have fun, which makes for a great positive open-minded fandom that grows pretty steadily, and a great time is had. The ladies feed off of the fandom's energy. It's a circular thing and the circle just keeps getting bigger. During an interview show, JiU actually told somebody that Dreamcatcher is like a Black Hole; once you are in, you can't get out.

For real. Siyeon's wives (stans) we are crazy about her. On stage she would kick us in the face and we would say "thank you ma'am, it was our pleasure to be kicked by you" and then off stage, shes the weirdest and cutest thing in this world ❤
I definitely watch reactions for the discussion! I hate when reactors post videos of 4 minutes where they just watch the MV, go "whoa", and then say "that was cool, see you next time". Then I _really_ could have just watched the MV myself 😂
It's funny because the average viewer exits the video around when the MV ends. That's all most people want, for reactors to play the MV yell "woah this is the best thing I've ever seen!" And end it lol. I definitely make videos for people like you! ❤️

Scream was my first DC comeback and after falling in love with them for Deja Vu (you'll get there I'm sure) it was like being punched in the face with pure glory. The first time I watched it I had my mouth hanging open the entire time. 😂

Dreamcatcher 🤟 4 years ago I didn't listen to any rock music at all. But then I discovered DC (admittedly because of the beautiful members) & now have their entire discography (111 songs!) in my playlist. I think tastes change over time.🤔 Come for the looks & stay for the music. I think this pattern is common for some kpop groups, at least for me 😋. Watched till the end, only for your info.
Looks, sound, attitude, they got it all! I obviously loved metal before I knew about DC and I love the influences they've taken and made it into something beautiful (literally)
Scream is part 1 of the Dystopia trilogy, which is about cyber-bullying, hateful comments and people losing themselves in the (fake) online world. It is mostly showing the victim's perspective of (cyber)bullying, comparing it to a medieval witch hunt and a burning at the stake. The tree is the tree of language, and it grows black fruit for every hurtful thing people say. Note also the hand gesture, it is the devil's horns introduced by Ronnie James Dio as a symbol for metal, but it originally was a gesture in the middle ages to ward off the evil eye, tying into the witch hunt theme. I really enjoy the music, it's rock mixed with EDM. Dreamcatcher are always very creative, and they are in their own genre by this point.
Didn't read all the comments, but I thought you should know. There is another M/V they did for this song that incorporates HanDong after she got to come back to Korea. Nice visuals in suits, JiU gives up some of her lines so HanDong has lines, and a neat litte Easter Egg at the end of the vid. You should check it out, whether or not you make a vid from it is up to you.
Good morning! Nice surprise here - didn’t know this one was imminent but I remember being surprised this wasn’t the first Dreamcatcher you viewed. Love the song, especially love the rap breaks-not so much the style but the way the set off and define the rest of the piece. A nice chill way to start the day. Maybe some Bono* style glasses would help defend against the direct gaze of pretty women? *Bono is the lead singer of an Irish band from the Jurassic Period (no dancing, no rap, thankfully) that was plagued by indecision with songs like “With or Without You” & “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” & “Running to Stand Still” but sometimes very focused with “All I want is You” & “I Will Follow”. They also recorded the song that could be the theme for Chain Reactions: “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me” Mmm, the coffee is good this morning (That should help the algorithm, don’t you think?)

There's no need for an overlay on their MV's. Dreamcatcher don't do copyright strikes on their own MV's or anything they have sole copyright on. Music Show and Variety Show performances have split copyright so they may be a problem. If you want to watch the choreo then the dance practice videos are the best because they have a static camera so you clearly see every movement.
My editing takes a long time (my own fault with the captions and screenshots etc.) so the framing/overlays are basically a template to save time but maybe I can try to remember to remove it for these.
You can do your biases however you want. Personally i have a "bias line" in dreamcatcher that originally started as just Handong but Gahyeon and SuA have joined since. Plenty of insomnia are "ot7" because they can't pick. Also yeah Handong: before this album she went to go do an idol reality show in China to build her confidence. Unfortunately, the covid pandemic broke out while she was there and it was almost a year before she could get back to South Korea. So the first two dystopia albums, the second Japanese album, the special R.O.S.E. blue song collab, and pretty much all their extra content for stuff from this time period as well are all missing her.
It's unfortunate because Scream and Boca were probably the songs that really brought them more popularity, but that's life. You can find live versions of almost every song with Handong in it at this point if you want to see them at least!
I don't really do biases, so I can try to keep my appreciation for all members. These really good groups need every member and they all provide something that makes the final product what we love!
I can't wait until you see the silly self-made MVs. You have such a fun sense of humor. I think you'd appreciate theirs. My favorite DC song is "Don't Light My Fire". It has a very classic 80s hair metal type of sound. I can't wait to hear what you think of it if you listen to the Japanese songs. Since rock is huge in Japan, it seems they don't have to incorporate much pop into that side of the discography. It's a nice change up in the overall collection of songs. Oh, watched to the end!
You mention something about male dancers, I’ve watched this video several times and have never noticed any…at all…ever. I’ll just have to take your word for it. At some point when you’ve braced yourself you should check out some concert footage of their stage antics, they like to start a little sexy time with eachother, then crack up laughing at the reaction. Gahyeon always makes sure to bring that mask all the shows I’ve seen. Yoohyeon walked up the aisle through the audience right next to me and I didn’t know until she went by. 😮
You mean you never noticed that there were 4 male & 4 female dancers? Dami is surrounded by them during her rap, Sieyeon used one as decor to walk around, and the guys were front & center at the final pose in the dance. But then again....DC are do distracting. Understandable. Have a good day.

I'm always down for long form reactions so my vote is to keep 'em coming! ^_^ When it comes to multiple biases it is just inevitable in this group. Most Insomnia, like me, just accept that they are OT7. So, any bias combination is correct! 😂 If you continue with the Dystopia trilogy then next is BOCA which, unfortunately, also doesn't have Handong but she finally returns in the last part of the trilogy which is Odd Eye. It was a rough year for Insomnia without Handong, but she came back with a new fire to her. Way more confident and just has much more of a presence within the group now than before. ^_^
Oh well I'm sorry to hear it was a difficult time but I'm glad it's all good now! I try to resist picking biases so I'm all about the OT7. Most of these groups benefit from each of the members so. They all deserve to be celebrated and appreciated!!
@CsLaci81 Hi, I have loved your reaction, especially those cuts :D I do feel that some background on the story line and the M/V still comes handy: Dystopia Trilogy: This trilogy talks about Cyberbullying and the power of language and how it can hurt someone if used in a negative way. It portrays their attempt at facing the Dystopian reality that is hidden in the world of social media. The center of the story is the tree of language that is turning black due to negativism after the curse of the evil language was released (depicted as opening Pandora's box in Scream) and the light provided by positive words fade out. The order of the title tracks is: Scream (Hear no Evil) - happening in the Past - Fantasy vibes Boca (Speak no Evil - Boca is the Spanish word for mouth) - Present timeline Odd Eye (See no Evil) - Futuristic vibes M/V: The dancer with the mask on is reserving the spot for Handong. (stuck in China due to CoVid) First you mostly see the members wearing white, that is their pure uncorrupted form and they gradually take on the black outfit after waking up to new world of hatred. The masks otherwise represent anonymity provided by social media. 5:36 is when Gahyeon breaks the container of the curse and negativism starts spreading (Explosion around the tree) It is also shown that this has happened some time in the past and negativism is ever since part of our society. (5:39 the ancient texts light up) 5:43 they point fingers at her for doing it. Similar to Deja Vu the storytelling is not linear (There we see the exiled SuA and the Imprisoned Handong right at the beginning while that obviously happened after Yoohyeon getting rid of the six others. ). Anyway in Scream the members are already wearing black but still asleep at the beginning 1:06. ("My covered eyes are stained with blood") 2:42 shows the loss of the white form. There is even a transitioning outfit with JiU with White on top of black 2:45. The purple fog with the evil words 2:56 is the curse basically, the scenes with purple with black outfit are the corrupted areas. We see how the spreading works in the bridge when Siyeon is still wearing white 5:51 while the other six members are already in black and around the now corrupted tree (purple) and they walk away from her wearing some black already and in 6:10 she wakes up wearing black. It is also important to note that one of the important message is how the "Please I don't want to scream" turns into Siyeon eventually singing "I just want to make you scream", meaning that basically negativism corrupts people turning them from victims to perpetrators. 6:17 "Dami: and one by one everyone becomes crazy". And finally now all of them wearing black walk away.
