This is the hike that I've been thinking about doing for a while, I've always known that it was tough but for some reason I still wanted to do it.
Come join me on a glorious Good Friday and stay tuned to see whether I've conquered one of Snowdonia's toughest mountains.

I did that route in 2022 with my son, he is in the army. It was a blistering hot day. My fitness wasn't great then but I toughed it out. Yes that descent is very loose ground in places. I was so glad to get back to the car. We did enjoy a long swim in the lake on the way up.😀

It's so worth it isn't it? As soon as I saw the lake, I wished I'd brought my trunks with me. I'll be back to do that. :)

Well done bud. And thanks for documenting it. I’m gonna do it hopefully very soon and I’ll be setting off from the same car park as you did. Did you see any planes in the end? What’s the name of the app you mentioned please? Does it show paths? Is it straightforward enough to follow the paths all the way up just by looking at the ground?

Hey there, thanks so much for the compliments! I used All Trails app on my phone, and even when I'm not using it, the path is well maintained and pretty obvious so getting up there isn't a problem. Coming back down is a bit trickier but overall, you'll be fine. :)

LAST TIME I DID THE CADaiR FREDDIE MERCURY WAS ON STAGE AT live aid.. And yes I returned via the pony track.. It was free to park up back then. but well worth the 6 squid. loved the vid.. deffo on my list this summer. 💯❤‍🩹🤓

The best year!! Because I was born then hahaha. I'll deffo go back but not to do the summit, may go for a swim in that little lake halfway up. :)
