Tom said this "event" was the last straw for him and pushed him off the fence, he is voting Trump 2024. It took him 2 hours to write the lyrics, 45 minutes to write the beat, 2 hours to record and off to Evan to mix while he and Nova shot the video at midnight. Evan got the mix back to them by the time they finished shooting the video then Nova went to work on the edits at 2 in the morning, then they uploaded it to RU-vid. This was all done in about 12 hours total from the pen hitting the page to the upload. So impressive.

I think part of the reason this hit Tom so hard besides the obvious weight of what just actually occurred. I mean we a truly living in one of history’s most incredible moments for mankind. I think it is because Tom actually does try really hard to bring people together with his music. He truly is down the middle. One side has gone sooo far astray that to them he looks right wing. He has bashed on conservatives plenty, I would say more so the establishment that is using people and dividing them not a particular side. The extreme left is just way more prevalent without question. Also he just made an amazing song that dropped days before this that was talking about how everyday people are special and that everyone is important and then something like this happens. It had to be extremely frustrating. Not because the song took a back burner like some will try to say, but the complete opposite affect what he was trying to have happened in the most insane way someone could think of. Most of all and you can tell from a live stream he did, and what I would say is the most influential aspect of this song being made was the fact that someone actually died. Actually two including the shooter, as well as two being critically injured, a President almost dead which would have lit a spark that no one knows what level would have taking this country/world too, and most of all…., people celebrating someone actually made an attempt, and just as bad if not worse, people upset that he missed.
