In an alternate universe where ZUN was as overprotective of his music as most record label companies are, this is what the typical Touhou gameplay video is like. (Note: This is a joke.)
Nice to see that the UI and edges of the screen in this game are just as broken as the last time I tried to record a replay.

also the alternate reality where ZUN didn't have enough budget to add original music for the new era of touhou, and kevin macleod started to make royalty free music in the start of the 2000s instead also also the same reality that creators of BFDI (jacknjellify) had musical talents before, and started to create touhou-like music for their new series instead

I just recorded a replay while the BGM was set to off in the options menu. Then I edited in different music on top of the recorded replay. I've heard that you can alter the music files for this game, but I don't know how.

its possible to change the game's music if you have thcrap (audio files needs to be in flac format with 16-bit)

The game’s music is just laid bare in the game folder as .wav files. I think you can just replace the files with something else as long as it’s the same name (and I think format). Every game after EoSD though has the music as part of a single file.

I'm a pretty casual player, so even normal mode can be difficult for me depending on which game it is. The replay I used is pretty old though, so I would probably do at least a bit better if I tried to play the game again.
